All of the "good sub chains" are priced at dine in restaurant levels. If that's what you want to pay for a sandwich go ahead, but they can't really be compared to fast food because they are totally out of that price bracket.

Yeah. In the past 7-10 years they've become significantly more expensive and the quality seems to have dropped a lot. I used to eat a lot of subway when I was at school because one was on campus, but it's actually just worse and worse value now so I hardly ever do it anymore.

Yeah, I think that objectively, they are still "ok."

But they've dropped off so much from what I was used to that it's hard for me to go there anymore.

I mean, I haven't been to a Canadian Subway, but I can confirm that here in the US they are near the top end of the price range when it comes to fast food. And their quality has dropped over time, though I think people exaggerate how bad they are in that respect, or their local shops are just bad. I will also say they used to be significantly better 10+ years ago.

This topic's title is a hilarious artifact by now for a couple reasons:

1. Smartmuffin himself has abandoned Ron Paul's principles to join the Trump MAGA train.

2. More broadly, Ron Paul has faded into the background and with his departure, his style of Libertarianism is for all practical purposes dead in the water as a political movement. No, the continued existence of the Cato Institute, mises.org, Molyneux, etc. doesn't count. That's political theorycrafting, not a movement.

In his blog post he actually refers to it as part 1 of the "GRRMillion." So the obvious parallels were quite intentional. Too bad he couldn't follow Tolkien's example where it counts, and actually deliver a complete Lord of the Rings before spending the rest of his life dicking around with the Silmarillion.

Good movie. I have no idea exactly how I rank Star Wars but it's towards the top. Criticisms on non-Rey/Luke/Kylo stuff is fair but Rey/Luke/Kylo stuff is soooo good.

Possibly unpopular opinion: every Star Wars movie except maybe ANH has at least one significant arc that feels like padding.

Comic fans, I assume would love the ending.

It ends on a cliffhanger. Which for some is good, for others, they don't want to wait a year for the conclusion.
