Lmao no I'm not that masochistic. And even if I was, the maximum half length you can set it to is 20 minutes. Here's the half length based on what kind of match it is:

Friendly: 4 minutes (I started simming these early on to save time)

World Cup Group Stage: 6 minutes
World Cup Round of 16: 7 minutes [haven't gotten this far yet :( ]

43' THAILAND GOAL (T. Dangda) - shit, first goal conceded in this group. Blocked the initial shot in the box, but Dangda picked it up and easily knocked it into the left corner.

67' ohhhhhh my goddddddddddddddd. Had a 2-on-2 break, the 2 defenders home in on the guy dribbling up, I try to pass it down to my Peralta for a one-timer but he has trouble handling it. Eventually he gets to where he can shoot but it goes barely wide-right.

14' ok uhhhhhh I don't like this, Mexico seems way scarier. They've already had 3 chances in on goal where I've won the ball away at the last second.
17' MEXICO GOAL (G. dos Santos) - ok, yeah, fuck this. My goalie is playing way worse. Dos Santos hits a pretty slow roller inside the left post and my goalie just falls over toward it when he definitely had time to make the save. If I lose by worse than 1-0 I'm gonna be pissed.
27' lol 1 guy dribbles it all the way down from my own third. A Mexican defender makes a tackle in the box but the ball goes out for a corner...and the game gives me the commplete wrong player who is nowhere near making a play on the cross. Good job EA.

This is an unusually high number of own goals to start with, but obviously in soccer it can happen a lot more easily than in hockey for example, because the goalie's covering much less of the net, and there can be a ton of people in the box who could accidentally deflect the ball and throw off the goalie like we saw with Nigeria. The Morocco one was definitely pretty bad, like he looked like he was trying to do that.

I'm also banking a bit on Russia playing above expectations due to home field advantage. I know Brazil got their shit kicked in by Germany in 2014, and South Africa didn't get out of their group in 2010, but even then they played better than usual at times (as is usually the case with the host nation).

Lol pretty good takes on it. I side more with Jay, though i enjoyed it even more than he did - the middle is less eventful, sure, but given the context of the end of act 1, i was so taken aback and fascinated with how the family would deal with that - i don't think it ever got too slow.

Mike does have a good point about the ending - devil worship is kind of an easy fallback, and Annie's work with miniatures didn't really flesh out into a meaningful metaphorical connection within the story.

I saw an interesting comment that the movie did have test screenings, in which Peter stabs his own eyes out, but most of the audience disliked it so they changed it. If that's true I'm kind of annoyed - that would give much more meaning to the drawings in Charlie's notebook with his eyes crossed out, and the photo of him in the attic with holes cut out over his eyes.

I disagree with them that The Witch is better, I think Hereditary beats it on almost every aspect.
