Mondays let you shrug off last week's baggage and start fresh. I don't see it changing even if you do dread going to work. Mondays are usually comparatively okay because you're rested through the weekend and have more than the usual energy to attend to your job. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the real ones that suck. Unless, of course, for some reason you had to work in the weekend as well, or your weekend sucked. Frankly, he would have gotten roflstomped in PM's race as well if it weren't for R2 lending a hand to tweak his pod so it could work properly. He didn't start being an ace mechanic. Working with machines for years lets anyone become an expert. It's just that his potential enabled him to be a quick learner and develop an instinct for machines as he learned about them.
