Maybe if my mom wasn't such a failure, somebody could have opened this door earlier for me but I don't complain...i walk through it, nose to the grindstone and grind out my IRL xp without being some sort of complainer who constantly sees the deck stacked against him. I live my life with the wind at my back, a good attitude....not this shitty spirit where I think everybody owes me something because I started with a disadvantage. Hey man, I'm with you - I find it sick how many people use their circumstances as not only an excuse but an ENABLER of lazy or bad behaviour. It is not your fault and I'm even going to prove this. The prime cause is that the economy has changed drastically, there was an economy boom in the 60s and 70s, which is the generation of your parents or grandparents and in that time, it was not only easy to get a job, they would also pay well, even if you had no educational degree whatsoever. So imagine your parents or grandparents now look at the current generation and they will think that just everyone suddenly has become lazy and stupid, even though they go to school longer and try much harder to get jobs. Most people do not assume the case that they just had it easier or were lucky, they will always assume their achievements were a result of their efford, which is now the cause, they will blame you. In case anyone argues now with you, you have a counter argument, but better dig out some evidence like statistical data you can show them, since they may demand that. Even in my short lifespan I still know, that when I was young, maybe 20-30 years ago, the existance of NEETs was basically unknown where I lived, it was just known from hearsay that if you drive to the big city, then at the corner of the big city there were a few welfare houses, where really crazy creepy people live that do not work like absolutely everyone else and even those had often a good reason to depend on welfare like being refugees or being disabled. Now however it is totally common that almost everyone knows cases personally that have problems surviving financially or depend on welfare or are even fulltime NEETs. Ask yourself logically, what makes more sense? That most humans suddenly have become so lazy and stupid, that they cannot even take care for themselves anymore, even though productivity and wealth still grow exponentially and they go to school longer than before and try harder to find a job or.... that the economy simply has changed, which is also proven through statistical data? --- |
