Because Ice/Flying has no good resistances. Also Regice is a better special tank than Articune stat wise. Articuno is 90 Hp, 125 SpD and Regice is 80 Hp, 200 SpD and yet no one uses Regice.

I have a shiny Articuno, it adds nothing to the conversation, I just felt like bragging about that. Anyway, despite being my favorite bird, Articuno has wayy to many weaknesses to be viable, Rock,Steel,Electric,Fire, Ground, there are some ground moves that can hit flying types, alot of those moves are very common among legendary pokemon and even psuedo legendary people and even normal pokemon

On top of that it's not very fast with a base stat of 85 in speed and it's base special attack is just 95, it's a dead bird most of the time

It's not weak to grond even if you remove the immunity to it. The only Ground move that hits flying types is Thousand Arrow, which only Zygarde gets.

Hit Articuno with Smack Down and Ground moves now work on it

Or just use stone edge, because that'll kill it.

Alolan Ninetails is just strictly better in doubles. It's a hail setter that learns Aurora Veil.

its ability can be good for endgame stalling
stats are decent for defensive purposes

Issue is it's typing sucks defensively. Pressure also isn't that great of a defensive ability either, because PP barely matters in competitive. The anti crit abilities are far better because they prevent crits which also ignore defensive buffs.

Snow Cloak is also bad, because a rng chance to avoid an attack in hail which has been nerfed just isn't that good.

Dubs at the very least have improved quite a bit lately due to better support for it.

I'm not sure metal detectors will do much besides make coming into school for hundreds of students a pain.

There's not really anything wrong putting a couple of guards on duty during school hours, but we shouldn't expect that a guard or two will be able to immediately stop a shooting.

At the end of the day we should still be doing a bit more with our current gun regulations. Right now there's no federal law that requires gun sales to wait for background checks to complete. If they take longer than 3 business days you can complete the sale. Also there is a lot of good that requiring to pass a basic gun safety course can do to percent accidentally discharges and people bring dumb and leaving their guns in the open. Also there's no federal law that requires background checks with private sales.
