Think about your smoker friends and family who are always coughing, always tired, always sore, etc. They probably have something. Plus, some people just get lucky. Same way you can have someone that weighs over 300lbs, but doesn't have diabetes versus someone who's only thirty pounds overweight and does have it. |

I'm talking, holes worn into the jeans after a few wears, seams in shirts unraveling after a single wash, etc., and they tend to be ill-fitting. That said, in college, I bought most of my pants from rue21. Some people would clown on me for shopping at a "girl store," but their men's wear was decent. I still have a few pairs of pants from there. They were usually like $25/pair, and you could get a second pair for $10. So, six pairs would be enough to last a week (do laundry on the seventh) and only cost about $120. There are options between garbage Walmart pants and spending hundreds at a tailor. |

But he just secured an internship at a world-class technology company as his first internship and he attributed that to the technical skills he learned hands-on at Devry. It's an expensive school but he's happy with it so far. If he grabs another internship or two on the same level as this first one, he'll land a really solid gig as an electronics engineer once he's done with school. Your brother could have gotten that same education at virtually any other school for a quarter of the price. |

My mother was taking care of me when she was my age, but I struggle to keep my life together, much less even entertain the idea of taking care of another human. That said, 30 isn't too old. If you insist upon reproducing, you want to strike a balance between being too young (which, I think you're past the point of) and being too old (I'd say any age where you run the risk of being old enough to get the senior discount at IHOP by the time your kid graduates high school). |
