Everything I use is relatively modern. Work uses Windows 10, at home I use Linux and *BSD, all fairly up to date. I suppose some of the old Cisco gear I have is running some old IOS versions, but I'd have to check when I get home.

to be really specific, the engine will inject fuel at different times and in different amounts depending on what load the ECU detects, but it's smart enough to not just dump fuel in to the cylinder when you're flooring it in the second scenario

in a modern EFI car, it'll only add as much fuel as necessary to maintain an optimum fuel/air ratio. so it'll add more gas to a point, but not enough to make it run rich and waste fuel
