I'm literally saying to stop calling them by their chosen names and call them by what they don't want to be associated as. It's like saying to just call alt-right nazis.

It's stupid to say "you're just saying all virgins are misogynist" because no, I'm saying misogynists are virgins. The distinction is there, but honestly, it's dumb. This should only matter to people who ARE "Incels", because they're the only people who should be offended by it.

Besides, calling them by their chosen name is enabling their mindset. They're not involuntary celibates. They're just pricks. If they don't like being called out for being unattractive, then call them out on it.

Nah, Eddv got mad at me talking about a game in discord a couple months back and eventually attacked my character in an incredibly rude and vicious way out of nowhere.

Since then, he's complained about me a lot, but also put me on ignore, so I can't even ask why he's actually mad. I really have no idea.

I thought we covered this before, but I student taught and subbed for a few years. Then I decided the field was not for me and left it for a more preferable job.

Teaching is a landmine job that doesn't pay you enough.

No offense to you, but one of my biggest regrets in life was settling on that degree choice.

(Though teaching has relatively little to do with the subject at hand).

Years wise- something like 08 - 11

So right before the smartphone boom.

Like I said - you would be surprised. Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone. But even delinquents and truants are very attached to their pocket computers. Everyone wants to stay linked in - take away what a kid wants, they'll do what they need to to get it back.

And Eddv - if you want to complain, at least take me off of ignore instead of doing this baby-fit thing you've been doing for the past two months. You can't pretend to be some paragon of meaningful discussion if you lack the ability to express your problems in a mature manner.

The only ones you can even claim are "unrealistic" are A and C.

B isn't unrealistic at all, just not fair. But not at all difficult.
D Raise property taxes. They are what you are supposed to pay for schools with in the first place.

B is unrealistic. Those people need to exist for you to be able to find them. There are not enough people in the country who want to be teachers, let alone people who want to be teachers and fulfill your physical requirements.

D is unrealistic. Schools across the nation already don't have enough money. Adding more things for them to pay for isn't going to fix funding issues across the nation.

This is all ignoring that this 'solution' probably doesn't fix anything.

You've got some good points there. I guess I still feel like it's too much of a paradigm shift. I don't mind her fellow agents thinking less of her, but it's just odd for her to be at step 1 in this environment.

Agent Carter: Season 1

I alluded to it earlier, but some of the early writing for side characters was pretty cheesy. They really nailed it with Peggy, Howard, and Jarvis though. As the season went on, it strayed further away from that. There were still moments of cheese throughout, but it didn't pervade.

While I think Peggy's character was well-done, I am a little disappointed that the show took a "this is 1950's America" approach to their British woman who was a war hero. Not only does she get no respect, but nobody is even aware of a reason why she's an agent at the SSR. Her capabilities are basically nil. They answer this later with why she did her own investigation, but even still, it's a bit of a dumb situation.

I really liked the villain. His henchwoman was... eh, but the moment I realized that the guy was Dr. Faustus, I was pretty pleased. Good on Marvel to toss a bone with using an actual Captain America villain. Good use of hypnosis, and the intrigue and everything leading up to his reveal as the villain was well done.

Speaking of which, they managed to ramp up tension pretty well throughout the show. I mean, we know that Peggy, Stark, and Jarvis will turn up fine in the end, but they were cutting out agents left and right. They weren't afraid to kill other characters off, and that helped add some good tension throughout.

Stan Lee's cameo was ok. Nothing special.

One other little thing I thought interesting was how spy thrillers are accompanied by a main theme in an uneven meter. I blame Mission: Impossible for this, with its theme being in 5, but the credits theme for Agent Carter is in 7/8 and I just find it funny that that's a thematic similarity for spy thrillers.

I'm on the season finale of s1 for Agent Carter.

This was a really easy watch so far. I guess considering the tv-length episodes, that's no surprise. And only 8 episodes on the season, that's pretty short.
