Melee also has Adventure Mode and the best Event mode by far. Also the last game where characters got personal Target Tests. And I've always preferred Melee's All-Star mode to the ones in the sequels. Doesn't take too long to complete due to the smaller roster.

And of course, Melee also has Poke Floats and no other Smash game does.

I don't think it would be broken even if it were a hold item that always protected the Pokemon from entry hazard damage. Any offensive Pokemon that would use it would have to give up attack power by not holding a Life Orb or Choice Item, and any defensive Pokemon that would use it would have to give up bulk by not holding Leftovers or a Focus Sash. Even among Pokemon that are double weak to Stealth Rock, I don't see many of them forgoing the better held items to use this hypothetical item you're talking about.

I think they need to just make Stealth Rock deal flat damage regardless of type. It would basically just be a better version of Spikes, since it can damage Flying types. There's no reason a Pokemon with a double Rock weakness should lose half its HP just from switching in.

I'm OK with it being "medicore" tbh. As long as it gets my Elder Scrolls fix since I've been on a Skyrim rush for awhile now.

Don't know how many of the in-game books you've read, but there's a site called the Imperial Library that has all the books in the games. There's a lot of good ones I never actually got around to reading in-game.

I think the silent protagonist thing really works for Paper Mario, and Paper Luigi is very talkative. I guess they could just change it, but then you'd be changing the character of Paper Luigi.

The main problem I have with the new trilogy is that I just don't really care much about what's happening outside of the Rey and Kylo stuff.

As for Snoke, I think his death was both really well done and also disappointing. I was curious to see what he was all about, but it turns out it was never going to be important. The fight scene against the Royal guards is definitely the best part of the new trilogy so far.

Don't listen to them. That just locks you in one direction the whole game, and is boring.
Keep that for your second playthrough.

don't listen to this. there are conversation options that affect certain important events in the game, including the encounter with the end boss, that you can only pick if you've gone the majority one way or the other. if you waffle too much between paragon and renegade, you will not be able to choose said conversation options, and the result of what options you have left to pick will not be as good.

Eh I think you could go like 75% one way and still be okay. I'm not totally sure though, been a while since I played any of the games.

I liked it, but I'm also a huge Shadowrun fan. I know a lot of people who didn't like Bright because it confused the fuck out of them, because they weren't familiar with the genre.

Definitely got a Shadowrun vibe from it as well. It was a solid, entertaining movie.

Also, it might be worth it to romance male characters anyway. I never played as FemShep, but a couple of her romantic options seemed to have more depth than Male Shepard's. The romance as a whole I feel is a super overrated part of the series. And it got a bit absurd by ME3.

SSBM is my favorite game of all time, but you have no idea what you're talking about.

He actually isn't wrong. Yes, Smash 4 does have more characters that are viable. But doubles is plagued by Cloud, while Bayonetta players keep placing higher and higher in singles.

In Melee, you see plenty of other characters in addition to Fox and Falco. Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, Peach, Marth, Sheik, Samus, Ice Climbers, Pikachu, Luigi, Yoshi, and Ganondorf. Even at the highest levels of play you see most of these characters. Besides, Fox is pretty fun to watch anyway.

Smash 4 is in a bad spot competitively right now though, while Melee isn't. Bayonetta is a major issue at all levels of competitive play.

I personally think Smash 4 is a poor game for casual play though. If I had friends to play it with frequently I'm sure it would be more enjoyable. But it really doesn't have anything to offer when playing alone. And having a great roster doesn't change that.

Seriously. I just think most people haven't really played 4 that much. Lots of people in this topic who have played it have admitted that they either don't own it or have only played it a couple of times.

I mean, you can't really blame people for putting up Melee as the best one - no one bought a fucking Wii U.

Might also be that Melee actually is the best one. Competitively it is of course. Smash 4 also is good competitively. But Melee is also the better casual game. At least I think it is.
