It feels like it's there simply because Far Cry now has a trope where the villain has to be "right" or vindicated in some way.

I expected *something* to happen that vindicated Joseph just because his people kept bring up "What if he's right?" so many times. (and because it's a Far Cry trope)

But like...it doesn't work when the side you're on isn't really evil at all, and your main villain is straight up drugging, brainwashing and murdering people. It especially doesn't work when his big reveal is that he is a baby killer.

I really don't get what the point or message they were trying to convey was besides pure shock. The idea that it was better to leave Joseph alone makes no sense when you getting involved seemingly has nothing to do with the Collapse happening.

If they indeed want us to believe it was all a hallucination, it's still a really shitty ending because I *specifically* thought "This is going to lead to a confrontation where I have to see through the hallucination and kill Joseph."

And then instead he's just kinda like "ur all I got bby" and the game ended.

I worked for a real shady dude who was contracted by banks to clean out foreclosed houses.

Basically spending 12 hours a day either in ghetto or hillbilly dumps cleaning out animal shit, human shit and a bunch of moldy furniture.

The only time it was cool was when he got contracted to clear out this small mansion. Turned out the owner was some dude who was caught sex trafficking. You could tell they took off in a hurry, the place was pretty much together outside of animals getting in and shitting everywhere. Really weird cause if you didn't know the backstory you'd think he was just some rich lame white dude based on all the family pictures and shit.

But yeah, most of the places were total dumps. I found out later that the owner of the company was a slum lord as well and most of the crew were actually his tenants working off rent. I bailed shortly after that, the whole thing just didn't sit right with me.

Far Cry 2 is fucking amazing on PC with mods that tweek the damage values.

That was really the only issue I ever had with it. The physics and AI are still some of the best out there even today.

Sorry for bumping this topic but Im confused as to why You can go back into the game after the ending and everything is fine like nothing happened, but Joseph and his family are all dead.

It could either be for free roam gameplay purposes, or they're implying something else about the ending.

No, I mean the way the ending itself is structured doesn't make sense, not the fact that it could be a drug hallucination.

It's just a weird ending overall. Like, I understand that when your guns for hire get shot they don't "die" for gameplay reasons, but having the final battle literally be "you have to shoot your friends and bring them back to life" is just weird. And then the fact that at the end you're all gunning Joseph down, but then he's just kind of fine and not dead is weird.

But then it's like, okay, it's just a drug hallucination. But then why is it that Josephs family dies while you're in drug hallucination combat? Why do your friends and Joseph *not* die after drug hallucination combat?

And then when you end up arresting him instead of just killing him? And when you resist him instead of walking away, you let him literally stand there for 10 seconds and douse you in Bliss instead of just grabbing him or shooting him. And how did he manage to turn *all* of your Guns for Hire into Angels?

Like, it's just one of those endings where it seems super coincidental that everything happens, which, I agree, leads a lot of credence to They were all just high as fuck on the bliss. That was my actual first thought when the boss battle with him began, and then when the nukes were dropping. I figured the final battle would be between you and him in the bunker where you gotta just do a final takedown or something and then when you walk out everything would be fine. Instead it just kinda ends.

It's very similar to MGS V where they present one thing but it doesn't hold up at all and ends up feeling super unsatisfying.

Nah, when you're captured by Faith the second time and taken to Joseph, he specifically triggers a doomsday hallucination so it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

It still doesn't make much sense overall, though.

I don't really understand the complaints about patrols. They only stick to the main road from my experience, and if you have a gun for hire with you (which you should) they'll probably take them out while you're driving.

The airplanes kind of suck, but that's why you call in Nick to take them out.

But if they're just talking about the forced story missions, it's a really shitty plot device that shouldn't have been used nine times.

Far Cry 5 really has a lot of issues tbqh. It's fun, but like it feels like one step forward, two steps back.

Ubisoft can't write a good villain to save their lives. The only reason Vaas was any good was because the actor played him completely different than how he was written when he auditioned and they decided to go with it.

My first PS2 started to have trouble loading shit, but it was a used PS2 so I just kind attributed it to that.

My slim model PS2 only started having issues after I left it in a damp basement for like 5 years, and even then the only issues it has is reading memory cards, but once I get it in the way the system likes its fine.

Set ups such as?

1. Nuke not being killed off just to be brought back and killed off in a super lame way.

2. Remember the Chaste? Probably not. It's the group Stick was a part of. They totally set them up as being players down the line, so much so that they actually had Stone show up. He was this guy



But, they couldn't be assed to do anything with them or him so they were all just killed offscreen and explained away in a single sentence.

3. Black Sky. It was like a kid in DD S1 that Stick killed, but then down the line just kind of turned into Elektra. This one I'm not positive on, maybe they explained it and I just missed it.

4. Everything involving The Punisher at the end of DD S2. They spent the entire second half of the season setting up the blacksmith and establishing how The Punisher gets his arsenal, then in the second season he just kind of throws it away and then they re-hash the whole Blacksmith thing again but just make it bigger.

I'm fully expecting the either Mariah or Shades to either be killed off or hand waved away in Luke Cage season 2 with the way things have been going.

The only problem I could see is if a lot of people bought these games when they were cheap.

Like, there's a TON of shit I've been thinking of buying but just didn't because cash was tight or I didn't have time.

But now like, it's all there and I'm pretty stoked.

This also fixes the issues I've had with my friends lately where none of us had games to play together because one of us wouldn't want to risk buying something while the other did. Now we just go to gamepass and get something.

It's been a while, but off the top of my head it was because the map wasn't as diverse as Just Cause 2's and some people thought that there were better set pieces in Just Cause 2 (IIRC a big complaint was that the coolest thing in JC3 was the missile disarm thing at the end of the tutorial, which was pretty much a copy of the ending of JC2).

The first didn't really bother me, I thought the map in JC3 was beautiful even if it was repetitive. And I agree with the set pieces not being as good, but then again the main appeal of Just Cause for me has always been just taking over the islands and causing chaos, not really the story or the set pieces.

I think the DLC might have improved things too, I never played it but I remember hearing they brought in fun goofy shit like Mechs and such.

Twilight Princess is a good game, but it has an awful intro.

And at the time I fucking hated it because I waited forever for it, and then after six months of playing Oblivion I was just kind of underwhelmed by how linear it was.

I'm hoping for the best, but there are numerous horror stories about how RDRemption was a complete mess until they got Leslie Benzies to get involved.

Now they don't have them, and it seems they keep having issues and delaying the game.

GTA V's delay was the result of completely re-doing GTA Online, at this point you'd think they'd have their online plan down for their games so that can't be it for RDR2.
