Sorry, guys, but I really had a hard time finishing Lady Bird. I would even say it was painful because I kept wanting to stop. Anyway, I know it is very loosely based on the life of the writer/director. That didnt stop it from being boring. Yes, there was drama between the mother and daughter, as well as the awkwardness of growing up and not always getting along with your classmates, but a story about a self-absorbed, bratty teen is cliche at this point.

The best that I can say about Lady Bird is that the acting was good throughout and the relationship between the daughter and her parents felt real. She also had good chemistry with the best friend. I heard that it was supposed to be funny, but the humor is very subdued. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is much funnier, despite the story being far more dark and dry.

Yes.

I got into the habit of it after I kept hearing friends of mine talk about how they regretted not saying I love you to the people close to them, then those people died unexpectedly. I believe this outrage boils down to something similar to the outrage other groups feel about cultural appropriation. Star Wars was never specifically only for males, but the reality is that males in the 70s and 80s were the primary consumers of both the movies and related merchandise such as action figures, video games, posters, comics and novels. These nerds, if were speaking frankly, bought Star Wars, played Star Wars and lived Star Wars, going by the popular fan conventions and such. Now that ownership of Star Wars has shifted to Disney, the company is focused on broadening their customer base to young girls and women, which you can see in their T-shirts emblazoned with The Force is Female and Director J.J. Abrams admitting that they wanted the new trilogy to bring in a more female audience. This is understandable. Disney is super good at making money and they paid billions for the Star Wars franchise, so they obviously want to make that money back and more. Unfortunately, some of those male fans are either confused or frustrated that what they previously considered their domain, well, no longer is that. Marvel did the same thing by repackaging their comics to feature a woman Thor, woman Captain Marvel, woman Iron Man and so on.

Personally, I dont really care and this has all just been amusing to watch unfold. Ill still watch whatever looks interesting and its not as if were being forced to buy anything. I knew Star Wars Battlefront was all style and no substance, so I didnt buy it. No outrage needed.

Ehh, I guess it depends on what you mean by trust. Im not all that trusting of the government in general, but I know its law enforcements job to respond to crimes. I trust that theyve gone through basic police training through their academy, although they are still human and vulnerable to insecurities, fears and so on. I dont commit crimes and I dont hang out with criminals, so my experience with law enforcement has been entirely neutral.

What they should have done was relax a bit and get her to talk about it. I think she wouldve given some of the details. I do this IRL with different people who have a secret, but you can tell by body language or different clues that they really want to open up to someone. KCD is a game that immerses you in ways Ive never seen in a game. Not just because of how good the graphics are, not just because the story is super rich and engaging. But also because the attention to detail and how it rewards you as a player for paying attention.

In most games theres a divide between gameplay, world and story, theres an abitrary line that you end up rubbing against when your character can do x and y in gameplay and suddenly is useless in a cutscene. Or vice versa, suddenly your character is doing all these things you would never be able to do yourself.
