I thought it built up its mystery well enough but the entire premise is extremely problematic in how it portrays suicide as an empowering thing for the victim

I don't know if I would want to marry anyone from the show.

Dr. Miller would make a good life-partner iirc

I've been meaning to watch this series again

Agreed. Would've been perfect for Don but ofc he goes for an idealized fantasy instead of someone who could actually help him with his s***. Great show

And having higher taxes on corporations leads to more jobs.

If the extra tax money gained is put to use appropriately by government, which it never is.

No its because companies would rather the money go towards their own business instead of to taxes, so they reinvest it. The government isnt the one spending it.

Also, corporations saving billions and not having to give it away to taxes = no incentive to reinvest it back into their businesses = less economic growth and less job creation.

Lmfao u wot

You didn't know? Once you don't have to pay as much in taxes, you stop trying to earn more money.

This is functionally what happens. Each time corporate taxes are cut the profits are less likely to go back into the business and are instead kept by the people at the top.

People seem to not realize that there are regular people owning corporations. Corporations don't sprout like plants. Regular people create and own them.

There are also millions of regular people who work for them that get almost nothing of the profits, which is who we're talking about here.

But they have a job thus have income. Having a job is better than not having a job in most cases. It's a pretty entitled mindset to think everyone should get paid like the big wigs.

And having higher taxes on corporations leads to more jobs. Companies can either pay part of their profit in taxes or reinvest it into the business, and most tend to reinvest.

So this is the cost of buying out the American public so they wont give a f*** about letting corporations get away with saving billions that they have no incentive to reinvest into their businesses. Sad

"No matter what, Donald Trump and the GOP is mean to me! I'm not sure how, but I'm sure!"

Oh Im pretty sure how. Cutting taxes during a period of economic expansion = lack of funding during an inevitable recession = GOP trying to cut social programs as theyve done in the past. Also, corporations saving billions and not having to give it away to taxes = no incentive to reinvest it back into their businesses = less economic growth and less job creation. Is that specific enough?

lol I just tried responding to this Uncle fellow, I see now, nothing more than a troll, move along.

Let me get this straight. You want the government to have more money. I want Americans to have more money.

And I'm a troll because of that? Or is it because I respond, and you don't like that?

The majority of the money from these cuts is going to corporations, not the American people. And again itll inevitably lead to cuts in social programs that millions of people rely on. Also these cuts expire in 4 years whereas the corporate ones dont.

Tax cuts for the lower and middle class are fine but its the corporate cuts in the bill that are really going to f*** us over in the long run. When the inevitable recession happens and there isnt enough funding the GOP is just going to push for cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid just as theyve done every time in the past (and screw over their own voters in the process, who are the overwhelming majority of people that rely on safety net programs). Corporate tax cuts also drive down economic growth and job creation because companies are less incentivized to reinvest profits back into their business (since the alternative of losing it to taxes instead is no longer there).
