| SirBinro 12/29/17 11:18:44 AM #101 | None of the humor in the Finn+Rose vs Phasma scenes worked for me. In fact those scenes were probably the worst part of the movie. "Chrome Dome", "Need a lift?", "Rebel scum", the reaction to BB-8 as AT-ST pilot, etc. It all made the tone of those scenes very silly, which is completely out of place considering they just found out 2 minutes earlier that their plan got most of the Resistance killed, and now they're on an exploding ship fighting for their lives and don't really have time to be making little quips every few seconds. Much of the 'motivation' here appears to be, not character- or circumstance-driven, but viewer- or producer-driven - 'we need to advance X distance, so get moving!' Yeah, this is exactly how I felt as well, and it kinda ruined the arc for me. Now that I think about it, I'd probably rank it worse than this. GoT S6 kinda reminds me of Lost S5 in that way.
