Ice Cap Zone was always a good one and would definitely be in my top 3 sonic OST pieces at least. I would want a new Ice Cap Zone in any potential Sonic Mania 2, purely for the sake of the inevitable remake of this theme.



Metropolis is also a very fun theme.



Sky Sanctuary was pretty good too.



For some reason I kinda liked Mystic Cave's music too.



Lava Reef (both parts 1 and 2) were not bad.

1. Return to being able to have things like Gameshark or Action Replay. Just have it set so that it disables the network while in use or otherwise cannot be used in any form of non-local multiplayer. Implant a mindset in gamers and developers that actually encourages them to expect/put in cheats and "anti-cheats" (codes that make things HARDER) into their games.

2. The existence of Trophies/Achievements/etc. are removed from not only games, but the memories of gamers and game developers. As if they were never invented. Things that are not "TRUE achievements" like skill points in ratchet and clank games, or things which otherwise have actual, mechanical effects in-game remain.

And, um... lets see.. I guess we could always go with

3. All microsoft consoles and their games are immediately transformed into Sony or Nintendo ones (whichever the owner would like more). Naturally, this means that any game currently on a microsoft console is now instead the same game, but for the other consoles instead. Controllers may optionally also transform into a 3rd party controller for the new console that happens to be laid out the way the microsoft controller was, I guess.

I just kinda think that the console gaming sector would overall be better if Microsoft had never stuck its nose into it.

Not even going to read. I just came in to say that pretty much anyone who gets sufficient media exposure having to get therapy is not surprising in the least.

Fortunately, spiders don't want to destroy humans and are generally just fine with us as long as we don't interfere with their local residences.

I'm surprised there isn't some spider version of that Birds movie though (i.e. some plot involving, well, all the spiders actually WANTING to kill everyone for some reason). Seems like a good B movie way to pop out an easy horror film.

It was also because the engine tools to make First Person Shooters are very well done compared to the tools available for developers of most other genres. But, those tools tended to include only the sorts of things you needed for realistic graphics by default.

As making a different looking FPS would thus require a bunch more development, many devs aiming for a reasonably cheaply made and thus profitable FPS used as much of the default engine stuff as they could.

Part of the reason 60 FPS is nice is that if you have it during much of a game, then when you hit a poorly optimized area or a resource intensive area it should still avoid becoming noticeably stuttery.

If a game were able to run at 30 FPS without ever dropping below that frame rate, then it would be fine in just about any situation outside of a first person shooter.

Looking the magic crystals thing up, it appears to be a game about raising horses, including magical varieties. It seems pretty brightly colored. The reviews indicate it is mostly a bunch of minigames as far as actual playing goes, and that it is fairly kiddy and not really that engaging unless you really like horses and ponies and such.

So its probably a perfect troll gift to give a person who doesn't like My Little Pony, since its appears to be only slightly less colorful and "magical" than that show seems to be.

I got my computer all at once and assembled it, but I could see myself doing the one-at-a-time thing from here on out. A year ago or so, the main drive failed (the boot/OS drive didn't, but is a 100 gig SSD). I replaced the failed HD with a SSD.

SSDs are getting to be very reliable.

About the only good thing that came out of it is the fact that it lets them justify Welch being as many places as she is.

Last hope? Lets see, that was the prequel one, right?

I rather liked it due to taking place before that Prime Directive equivalent got put into place, even if they were rather heavy-handed in explaining WHY it gets put in place after this game.

Frankly, what we also need are games that take place AFTER Star Ocean 3, so that it cannot be ruined by the big plot twist of 3 any more. They have had a tendency to remind us about the reveal of SO3 in just about every game they have made since then, to varying degrees (the most recent one even acts like you are a "player" in the actual menus and such).

Its his original origin from the comics, and has been referenced in several series I believe.

The details vary (such as whether he was a smart criminal, or someone who just got forced into wearing the hood), but it basically goes like this:
The Red Hood is someone with a "Red Hood" that is more like a helmet then a hood. The hood fully hides his face, but allows him to see out of it using 1-way mirrors or some such. During some criminal activity where Batman is attempting to thrwart him, he falls into a vat of chemicals. He swims out through a pipe, due to his helmet also serving as a makeshift short-term diving helmet. But he still breaths in fumes from the chemicals and such. He gets home, looks in the mirror, and snaps.

Details vary from version to version. In one of the series, I recall the "joker" of an alternate world where the heroes are villains and vice versa still wearing his hood.

He is accidentally given the powers of Bat-Mite I believe (I think he was trying to give Batman his powers but missed). One of those higher-dimensional beings like the being with the weird name who even the most powerful variants of Superman can only deal with by tricking him into saying his name backwards and thus having to go home to his dimension. That thing about Superman destroying a solar system with a sneeze? That was because of magical sneezing powder poofed into existence by one of these guys to mess with Superman, and arguably the REAL reason the sneeze was that destructive.

Among the things Joker can do while having those powers are high level reality warping (global scale if desired), easily killing Batman, bringing batman back to life from the dead so he can kill him in a different way, etc. I forget how they managed to convince/trick him to give the powers back up, but during the time he had them he was basically among the strongest beings in the DC universe (due to possessing powers that normally should only be possessed by outsiders).

It definitely gives him a vast amount of fighting power. "Fortunately," his primary concern was having fun by killing batman in every way he could think of. Likely, he is beyond planet buster with that power.

If you want more interesting powers, you usually need to go watch an anime or something with enough continuity that you are expected to watch it/read it in order.

Standard western heroes, partly by design, partly by tradition, need to usually be accessable to people who don't just pick up the first book/episode and read/watch it all in sequential order from there.

So you either need a fairly simple power. Or you need to re-explain its intricacies every single time it comes up. Or you need to make something that isn't a DC-comic style super hero series and thus is intended to be viewed in order, so that you don't need to re-explain it all over again each time.
