When I first played the game, I had no concept of how the mechanics worked in the game. I had no idea I was suppose to draw magic, then junction them to my stats to make my party members not suck. Yeah I didn't read those tutorials at the beginning of the game. For almost 15 hours of the game I had to rely on summoning to do all my damage. Once I learned you can junction powerful spells on your attack, I instantly stopped using summons in favor of normal attacks. What a difference it makes.

Out of curiosity, do either VC2 or 3 do much on the balance front? I love VC1 to death but scouts are kind of hilariously broken compared to the other classes.

There's a mod for VC1 that's suppose to make the game more balanced but ends up borderline Kaizo as I couldn't clear the very first stage without perfect RNG.

The big change was headshots deal less damage and enemy grunts have more stats. The result is that enemy lancers now headshot your units from half way across the map way more often. You cannot leave your tank's weakspot open at all because Lancers can and will snipe it.

It's so strange. VC2 and VC3 practically killed the series because they made the stupid move of making them for the PSP, because the PS3 wasn't "doing good" at the time. Flaws of VC2 and VC3 can be attributed to being on weaker hardware.

Thankfully strong reception and sales for the PC version of VC1 revived the series. I'm legit confused why VC4 is on Xbox One over PC. No one buys Japanese games on Xbox unless it's the only choice (Lost Odessey, Tales of Vesperia) and Microsoft isn't making that same mistake again.

Finshed V3 today and realized why I loved the first case so much. Spoilers for the whole game btw.

So many people die in this one so there's less cast interaction. They left boring ass characters like Kaito and Tsumugi alive for so long but killed off Kaede, Kirumi and Ryoma so early? You can literally see Tsumugi being the mastermind for so long because she contributes nothing to the game, but keeps surviving on the to next chapter.

Looks like its flyer emblem this week in arena. I have a +2 Catria that I can use as a Bonus unit to go with my +3 Elincia, +2 Camilla, and +2 Tana. Camilla has DC Emerald Axe+ so Reinhardt isn't a problem but I question how am I going to deal with Brave Lyn. Might have to bring in Boey the meta slayer instead.

I load up Super Mario World and have fun playing it. No way does it make me feel "Man I rather play Super Mario Bros 3 or Super Mario Galaxy" instead.

I play Star Fox 1/2 and end up hooking up the N64 to play Star Fox 64 instead. The controls feels slow and sluggish. Not saying it's a bad game on its own but compared to the N64 sequel it aged poorly.

Among all the SNES titles on the classic system, Star Fox 2 aged the WORST.

Compared to Star Fox 64, it's unplayable garbage. Star Fox and Star Fox 2 were more impressive as technical feats at the time but as a fun video game today I do not agree.

The last Toys R Us in my area is a dump. Parking lot is old and worn down. There's maybe two or three people working at all times, including the manager. Pretty much the only people I see shop there are old people who still don't know how to use the internet buying toys for their grandkids.
