I kinda had an eye on this, but I anticipated it being not great. Though, I just read review that mentioned Adventures of Mana being, apparently, much better and that's only 8 on PSN. Anyone played that?

The best way to do best of videos across multiple videos is to make it as you go, rather than after the fact. If theres a bit of a vid you think is good and would work well on its own, either make a note of the video and time stamp or copy that part of the video to another project as youre editing/reviewing it.

Funhaus are a pretty good example of both thumbnails and video titles. Sometimes they're a little too clickbaity, but their channel growth is healthy because of it.

Yup. I've had the same problem for the entire time I've been on Youtube. Part of my problem is I chose some piss-poor branding as people, even people looking for my channel specifically, will often have to wade through hundreds of Hugh Jackman videos first to find one of mine. I'm planning to rebrand soonish, but yeah, my interest in Youtube is waning and I'm looking into making the jump to live streaming instead.

Only advice I can give you is that your thumbnails and video titles are kinda bland and those, more than anything else, are what encourage people to even try watching your stuff. I'm not saying to go full clickbait, as you won't retain an audience that way, but you at least need something that make the casual viewer consider clicking. Not to say that I'm actually good at doing it though. I try, but my results are mixed.

Yeah, I did that quest by killing Rath, then making a long walk back to the original camp because my scout flies were useless. Then, I unlocked the camp that's in that damn canopy right next to Rath's nest almost immediately afterwards by doing that Grimalkyne sidequest.

I mean, that's the main thing, so if that sounds good to you, then you'll probably enjoy it. Main gameplay loop is basically accept a mission, track the monster(s), fight/capture it, redeem your rewards, craft new armour and weapons with the monster parts you've got, then accept a mission to fight a stronger monster.

Each monster is basically a boss fight, but they behave like actual animals. Some get scared of larger monsters or some will attack other monsters, they get wounded as the fight drags on, developing limps or being unable to fly properly and they get tired, making mistakes and trying to use moves they don't have the stamina for or just get out of breath and stand there for a while drooling. Some will use the environment to their advantage, like covering themselves in mud or picking up rocks to create makeshift armour. And you can use the environment too, trapping them in vines or smashing open dams to wash them away, stuff like that.

There are genuinely some monsters I've felt bad about killing because they'll do something desperate and pathetic as a last-ditch move. Like, there's a raptor-like monster with a neck frill that emits a phosphorus flash that can blind you. Hit it in the head enough and you can break it, but it'll still try and use the attack and it just kinda lights up a bit and fizzles out.

Yeah, every 10% of affinity is on avg a 2.5% damage increase or decrease

I read it that the affinity just affected your chance of the increase of decrease proccing and the increase/decrease was always 25%.

My understanding is that with -20% affinity, you have a 20% chance to do 25% less damage with each attack.

Xbox arcade versions are pretty good. You can play Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles separately or together and you can even play Sonic 2 & Knuckles as well as a few other extras.

The iOS versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are technically remakes though. They're great, but if you want something more akin to the 'original' experience, then go for one of the other versions.

I don't have issue with the ending so much as I do the execution of it. My opinion is that they should have had Barney and Robin's wedding and the meeting of the mother at the midseason finale and then use the second half of the season to flesh out all the stuff the happened in the final episode.

Yeah, I think this was the bigger problem. It'd be like if the final season of friends focused on Joey and Rachel's relationship, then covered the last two and a half seasons of content in the final episode.

Played for about seven hours today. This game is not multiplayer friendly if you're trying to play with friends. Like, it's so unnecessarily obtuse as to how to do some things, like joining an expedition and the whole thing with story cutscenes is just fucking stupid.

Still, when we actually could MonHun together, it was super fun. Rocking the Switch Axe at the moment. Getting a full charge grapple on a large monster and unleashing a full blast of electricity into its dumb monster face is the best.

And the character creator is great. Look at this smug prick, I love him.

You get access after finishing the first mission. Gameplaywise there's a also a "tutorial" mission that opens the game, plus cutscenes. Maybe about an hour or so? If you don't dawdle.

Of course, that doesn't take into account how much time you spend customizing your character.

I was thinking about this earlier today, how many new techniques have the existing characters got during Super?

Outside of new forms, only one's I could think of were Goku's Hakai and Evil Containment Wave, both of which were techniques he copied and Future Trunk's Spirit Sword.

I guess God Kamehameha, but that's just a stronger Kamehameha. I can't even think of a single new move Vegeta has developed and he used to come up with new moves all the time in Z.

Eh, maybe. From what I can remember of it, there was time travel, including alternate time lines and alternate versions of a couple of characters, both good and evil, showing up. I think I had a certain item in one area disappear and then later on you'd play the person who took the item. I forget what it was though.

And there was a whole bit about an alien super-computer causing everything, past 'Games' that had failed and each of the main characters breaking the game in various ways.

Honestly, probably never. As much fun as I had making it, I wasn't really getting much out of it compared to the amount of time I put in.

I have thought about telling the story in a different medium, but I wouldn't be able to do it even close to the way I had originally imagined it.

So, I checked out the beta.



It's actually kind of fine, but a bit... charmless, I guess would be the best way to describe it? Like, a completely by-the-book game. No character, completely sterile. Definitely a Metal Gear game in name only. If me and my friends weren't literally about to get Monster Hunter World this week, I might have asked them to check it out.

That definitely gets mentioned in the anime multiple times.

Oh, I thought in the anime it was implied that the universes were only going to be wiped out because Goku reminded the Zenos about the tournament, therefore the entire thing was basically his fault. Then again, I don't watch the anime religiously and mostly go on what's said on topics here, so fair enough if I'm wrong on that one.
