That isn't a hick town. My Grandma and Grandpa lived in a small town called Elizabeth Town here in Illinois and it only had 350 people living in it. It also didn't have any big chain restaurants or even a big chain stores in it. Now that is a hick town. Had to go quite a distance just to get to a town with those things.

I voted Home Improvement. Kind of got tired of Seinfeld after a while. Used to watch reruns of it every night from 11pm to 12am on a local station. Home Improvement always makes me laugh. I haven't watched Step by Step in years. All I really remember is that this woman would buy her husband items she wanted and he would get all upset. Then finally in a later episode she bought him a big fishing pole for his boat which he liked. I also remember an episode where one of the older siblings who is under 17 rents an R rated movie by putting it in the same case as a G rated movie and putting the G rated movie in the case of the R rated movie.

Overlooking the fact that very few people in the US develop scurvy despite most people not eating oranges or drinking OJ on a regular basis, I'm not sure any credible medical professional prescribes marijuana as a preventative measure for cancer. As it is, it's not approved as a medical treatment at all in many places

They just legalized Medical Marajuana in my state of Illinois a few years ago. But it is only for severe cases.

This is why maths needs to be taught more, not less. Maths teaches objectivity and problem solving, it's useful in an abstract way and is hugely valuable.

I wish my school didn't do joke additional break blocks like music, drama and arbitrary parts of history. If they replaced them with practical skills, etiquette lessons or even letting students out of school early, people would benefit.

I work in a grocery store and have never needed to solve a math problem that consisted of letters instead of numbers.

Hey that's cool, but I use trig fairly regularly in my job and you're not the only person on Earth. It would have sucked ass if I hadn't learned basic math in high school and had to start from the beginning in college at age 18 at an age when my brain was already starting to become less pliable to new things. They can't tailor a curriculum for every individual's exact needs so they just have to do the best they can.

I am sorry but Ab to the thirdcp to the third=at to the third is not basic math. I could never understand how to solve a problem like that. I barely passed math in highschool with a C- because of nonsensical math problems like that.

Last week as I was getting lunch I clumsily spilled my water so my co-worker offered to get me another drink, which turned out to be sprite (he thought I got that or something)
I didn't want to be ungrateful so I took it and with every sip my throat felt like acid!

But then, just today, I go to get my usual, with water, but then something inside me... something from the depths of my throat climbed out! "I'd like a medium sprite please"

It's kinda' good actually. I still don't want to like it. At the same time I kinda' like it. A medium was way too much though.

What kind of sodas do you guys drink?

I used to love soda but in recent years don't care for it. I don't even miss it. I did drink some back in the summer but only because I was in a laundry mat that had no air conditioning or bathrooms. And the vending machine was out of water. I hated it.

You can get a cremation for around $600, less if you don't want an urn.

A burial will cost you $3-5000 for the plot and casket alone, not taking into account fees for preparing and transporting the body. If you want a funeral service it can cost several times that. If you want a headstone tack on another one or two thousand.

Well usually Life Insurance will pay for a majority of the cost though, right?

Bernie was never going to win. He's too far left for the general public.

I am thankful I don't smoke. It's like $8 for the cheapest pack where I live. I live in Illinois and they raised the taxes on cigarettes. There's also high sales tax in my area that is around 10% because of lack of state payments.

There's about a million costs of doing that. Honestly if anything cutting taxes only gives them the upfront money to do that already. Taxes in the 1950's were sky high and there was no outsourcing. We live in one of the lowest taxed climates in modern American history and there seems to be more outsourcing than there ever has been.

I mainly just think everyone regardless of how rich they are ought to pay their fair share of tax. About $35 to $50 dollars of my weekly paycheck goes to federal taxes. I am fine with that. People often act like nobody should pay taxes at all.
