You're not wrong, mental health and the way we treat the mentally ill is a major problem in this country. But you can't lump all mass shootings and gun problems to "Well he's mentally ill". There are many disorders, and some do not have violence as a symptom. Should we take away the right of someone to protect themselves just because they have a history of depression and no violence/suicidal thoughts? I'm willing to bet, if mental illness is tied to a mass shooting, you're dealing with an antisocial, and it's pretty fucking hard to fix them. Better off restricting their access since they tend to have a record. This all requires more of a change than just "Fund mental health/insurance" or "Ban ARs". Need to tackle all these issues at once. --- |

The melodrama is bad but still entertaining. It's not particularly good, but I don't even watch romance besides Toradora! Darling in the Franxxx - Contender for AotS, which honestly isn't saying much. Like the art, glad we've gotten past the "get in the eva shinji" phase, nice cast & character dynamics. It doesn't do anything extremely well, but it's above average. Pop Team Epic - Another contender for AotS. I'm sticking to the dub so I'm way behind. Besides the Bob Epic Team parts, the skits are either funny or go over my head in a nonoffensive way. Not to mention they actually got some VAs for the dub. Super niche, but fuck it. Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens - Dunno how I feel bout this. First 4 episodes? Amazing. Tried to watch the latest episode and....fuck man I can't give a shit. It's pretty boi assassins being casual. Granted I didn't finish the episode. I really don't care about baseball, stop blending genres. Kokkoku - Watched the first ep, forgot about it, watched 2 more, and hey: this ain't bad. Great OP and ED, main lead is cool, interesting drama. It's something. Fate/Extra Last Encore - Prolly the 3rd contender, still have 1 more episode to decided. I never got into Shaft, but I liked their style. It's working pretty damn well here. Instead of flashy visuals, it takes a more artistic and unusual style. MC is crap but Saber is prolly the best Saber in all Fate anime. I like the narrative choices and how mysterious everything is. Still need to catch up on Overlord. --- |
