Finished hacking my SNES Classic for the most part. Some games still aren't working yet, but I'll figure those out in time. There isn't enough space to put the entire SNES collection on there so I had to pick and choose the stuff I thought was worth putting on there. Boosting the library from 21 games to 126 or so with a combination of english games and japanese games with english fan translations.

what are the notable Japanese games with fan translations? I'll have to go through your video later, but any standouts?

I ended up with 126 games on mine. The final cut was Star Ocean because I've already played other versions of it and it just took up way too much space (over 6MB)

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight is good if you only play games with female protagonists.

Another friend said Momodora too, huh. I've never heard of it. Female protag is a huge plus for me for sure, though. That's (along with Brittany's tweets) what got me into Trails in the first place, and now I'm hopelessly in love with the series.

I haven't played those two games specifically, but in terms of Metroidvania I'll always take take an opportunity to recommend Aquaria and Ghost 1.0.

Aquaria isn't exactly a platformer but it has exploration and atmosphere down pat. Ghost 1.0 also had really satisfying combat but exploration was more limited and the story could get silly at times. Still, both are great
