One thing I never understood about this series after the first one.... why the fuck do they keep coming back to the island? Holy shit.

1) Because it was the first cryptocurrency of its kind. Think of the Atari vs the new systems of today.... same concept. Now you have altcoins that do the same thing as bitcoin but are tweaked in some ways to rebrand themselves to a new name and they're trying to take the number one spot once cryptocurrency takes off in the future.

2) Rich people that currently have $10K worth of cash to flush down the drain and laugh about it. You have to remember that back then a single Bitcoin was $300 and even then people were hesitant in buying it. People that bought it at that price have profited a lot of money and now people are coming in late buying the same bitcoin at $15K. In the future, it'll be worth over $100K.

Either way, the government will step in to control cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Coinbase has already froze transactions.

There is literally no point in buying bitcoin unless you have $10K+ cash to wipe your ass with and flush it down the toilet (aka rich people).

You can't buy altcoins directly. You need to buy bitcoin or ethereum on Coinbase then convert it to the altcoin exchange like Bittrex. There's a tutorial on YouTube for this.

Those those those things are:

- a mansion
- make over $100K
- drive rich class vehicles
- have a foot long sex appeal

If you don't have one of these, she'll cheat on you. You're better off paying for middle class escorts.

I think very coin is the fastest growing altcoin right now.

What makes a coin "good"? I have no idea what kind of information I should be looking for between altcoins that determines whether or not it could be a good investment. People just say bid on these or those altcoins but don't state why.

Most of them seem to do the same exact thing which is to be decentralized with quick processing transactions and low fees. What am I looking for beyond that?

I thought you only files taxes with crypto if you trade or sell, but not if you've bought coins and just let them sit there.

So the average bitcoin hodler thinks like an Uber driver where they think they dont have to pay taxes.

Worked in IT. It started okay but then I just got sick of dealing with customers and it was so boring sitting down all day. Switched to blue collar now and have never looked back.

How do you determine how many altcoins to buy? For example I've got like 20 ripple coins since everyone is talking about it and its dirt cheap and only a few others like in SC and CVC.

Well I bought a very small fraction of bitcoin and ETH and have a few full amounts of some cheap altcoins.

How can I be so fucking dumb back then? Back in 2012 I had one co worker who mentioned about bitcoin when it was $100 but I just shrugged it off. Now it's at $10K.

Youtube and wikipedia are great in addition to, not in replacement of, a real education

In order to fully benefit from youtube, you have to learn enough about the subject to filter out the shit and learn what you actually need. Some guy on youtube doesnt have his career and reputation on the line when teaching you, your university does. Thats why university, textbooks, and even training providers like CBT nuggets are better as primary sources of info rather than youtube.

There's a big difference between a shit professor and a really good one.

It's not but most young adults should still attend for the general knowledge, experience and to further develop themselves as a person.

Life experiences can do that for you. College isn't required for that.

Lets take two potential employees for the same job. One has a high school diploma and is a bitcoin millionaire while the other has a college degree in a related field.

Just based off of that, who would the boss take?
