And Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag regularly places on the Top Grossing Apps chart. Plus, new SAO merchandise regularly gets made.

Love Live specifically ramped up the waifu-ism aspect of anime a lot. It was always there but that kicked it into high gear. Now it's a big part of lots of anime and is often the way that shows expect to make money.

I REALLY don't think that's Love Live's doing. It just happened to come around that time.

Just look at Fire Emblem Awakening. It was released 1 year before the Love Live anime aired in Japan, and the waifu-ism contributed to a huge part of the game's popularity.

It's really just the otaku market going in that direction.

The Worldwide Poster Girl URs actually count as normal URs for boost power. So for this event they're good to have on your team. This is why I'm glad that keep a lot of Rs in my present box. I was able to get my Mari one to maxed skill level.

I always thought it was strange too

I think it was some kind of attention thing but I don't really know

It was more because SHINE mainly watches shonen anime, so he felt out of place in midst of all of our weekly discussions for other stuff, so he decided to make his own shonen anime topic where it can all be contained.

Nowadays we just have weekly DB Super topics on Board 8 instead.
