Lol, well, these are the only Star Wars games I haven't purchased in the sale yet, I could prolly add more once I get my paycheck this week. Which of these would you recommend? Or I could prolly get all of them

I played some Unreal Tournament 2004 online a few days ago, surprised at how active online it still is and I had more fun with it than I did most modern FPS.
I'm also playing a 1995 DOS Star Wars FPS, Star Wars Dark Forces. It's fun but holy hell the controls are fucked.

I don't plan on ever doing that. It just doesn't strike me as a fun sort of completionism. I like that exploring and finding interesting places usually rewards you with one, because that's fun, but hunting them all down just sounds like tedious work to me.

I beat Red Faction 2 on hard mode and after I was done my left hand was agitated for a bit, but I felt accomplished.
The sniper lady boss and also the final boss drove me crazy.

Turok is very stingy with ammo even on Easy mode, so it pays to make the best use out of the regular bow.

Even if you use those portals that have the platforming sections, to get ammo and health, you still run out so damn fast.

The game is sooo difficult on the hardest difficulty and I'm too scared to progress further at the moment. I refuse to play a FPS on anything but the hardest >_<

Welp, I've finally beat the game, on impossible difficulty. It kinda sucks that the difficulty trophies don't stack, so if I want those I'll need to also beat easy, normal and hard. Still, I feel accomplished that I beat this glitchy AF game on the hardest difficulty while needing to do parts over again.

I remember getting that game with my PS2 (along with Tony Hawk 3). Part of me loved the destructible environments, but I hated that 90% of the game never really used the mechanic for anything useful. Towards the end you are just in giant buildings that have metal walls that you can't bust through anyways. Then it ends up just being a traditional FPS game.

I also hated playing with a controller, it was the second FPS after Goldeneye that I played on a console and absolutely hated it.

I found that reading character bios, and the plot, in the instruction manual make the story interesting, although the game itself rarely has cutscenes. I think that's just how it was with 90s/early 2000s action games, so...the story is kind of a plus in my opinion. It has an interesting concept.
I'm also playing Painkiller on PC right now. The story seems really cool, but the gameplay is essentially running through bland hallways and killing waves of enemies. I'm enjoying Red Faction more than that one tbh, despite the infuriating glitches.

Lol, indeed. Often when people mention game-breaking bugs in games, I never actually have the misfortune of experiencing them. This has been frustrating.
Saw another thread on the internet of a guy experiencing this escape pod glitch as well.
I have to start over from the level before which might take at least an hour. -_-

I'm at the part where you need to lead a giant combot into an incinerator by shooting at it and running away, but the robot is just staying in one spot no matter how many times I shoot at it, I think it's stuck there. I wish I had made 2 save files, I only have this one save.

7+ hours into the game on the toughest difficulty and I think I may need to start over. ;_;
