I'm always puzzled when people insist that a DRM-enforcing service is better than a direct-download of a fully-redistributable, standalone installer. I guess you could make an argument for automatic updates, but even GOG offers that now through "GOG Galaxy."

Maybe it's something entrancing about the Steam logo.

Nah here is the thing. We can't estimate a value on the damage he is doing to foreign relations. We have essentially lost of position as leader of the free world. I have no clue how little or how much this matters at this point. The only thing I do know is that it isn't a thing that should have ever happened.

Putting the second on par with the first is silly. Otherwise, much of the rhetoric expressed in that video sounds no different from BLM's calls to defend and promote black America so sure, he might be as bad as BLM in terms of ideology -- and certainly in terms of language, considering both frequently use "our people" -- although no protest involving him has done a fraction* of the damage that BLM has. (*Meaning reasonable fraction, because maybe you could say they've done a billionth of the damage.)

However, where did he allegedly call for a peaceful ethnic cleansing? If it was in the same video, I somehow missed it. Otherwise, I will say that -- despite having such a sizable following -- he's a surprisingly weak orator.

2) Comparing somebody to BLM is hardly a defense. In fact, it borders on an insult.

While I know relatively little about Spencer, the problem is that *anything* you read about him online is generally going to be hysterically slanted against him so it's not necessarily trustworthy. Broadly speaking, that makes learning much about him -- aside from picking up one of his books and actually reading it (which I don't want to bother doing) -- somewhat difficult. Especially because services refuse to host his website and search engines refuse to index whatever he might have which, to some extent, benefits him because he can rightfully claim persecution and it thereby plays into his narrative.

more likely they don't see any racism. not everyone has the same ideas of what defines racism

but on what you said, my grandfather. if you listened to him speak he was racist. but as the Hiring supervisor where he worked, he left it at the door, he still hired minorities and in one case I know actually wrote someone up for using the N word. (to make it clear, he had Hiring power, but he didn't actually have firing power, that was the guy directly above him.)

but he strongly believed in leaving your personal beliefs at the door and being 100% professional on the job.

there are a handful who can't get vaccinated due to allergies or some shit and have to rely on "herd vaccination" I think its called. so they would be at risk.

for whats its worth though this is a topic I really have no strong opinions on. on one hand innocents are put at risk (like a child who can't decide for themselves) but on the other hand I never liked forced things, and I also feel the world is overpopulated. so i'm just kinda "ehh" on the whole issue

But herd immunity is nothing more than a theory. A faulty one with outbreaks still happening in populations(90-over 99% immunized). Not to mention reports of people getting the disease after being vaccinated. Segregating people who are just trying to protect themselves(regardless if they are right or not) is just wrong. Even if you segregate everyone that still doesn't gaurantee others safety, no matter what vaccine propaganda tells you.
