Modern mmos suck, which is precisely why I would want one like old school EQ.

Shroud of the Avatar looks like a decent candidate, the development is coming along pretty steadily but they keep doing telethons and they've gone a little overboard in the paid item content (like Star Citizen, but at least SotA has delivered). Otherwise, it plays pretty well.

This Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen also seems like a decent choice for when it comes out.

Did Titanfall 2 come out before or after Battlefield 1? Either way it was one of those.

You had
- Bombed out town
- Trenches
- A base
- A town/fortress
- A wintry forest

But it was the same |_|_| layout, basically that one fy_iceworld from CS GO except longer.

No. I tried the beta of this latest one and it got tiring, really effin' quick. They showed five of the ten maps that are going to be in the final release, and all the maps were identical. The weaponry was over the top and it's the same "run in a circle and shoot then die" pattern that's been around since MW2.

Welp there go my chances of ever getting the new ones. Then again I think the only one I really played was 3 or 4 on PS2. The soundtrack was awesome... and that jungle elephant level >_>.

Also don't see what the big deal is. I remember doing Halloween-themed arts and crafts and reading Halloween stories in elementary school but costumes were always off limits for one reason or another in the whole K-12 system in my county. Seems like they'll probably be doing the same thing there.

Nope the third episode was also pretty bad.
I hate that these stories just end. There's no closure, it just hits the climax and then it's over.
A lot of big name actors though, I think I saw William Shatner in there, and Jeff Goldblum is in this fourth one.

Watched the first two episodes.
First one was regrettably too predictable.
Second was just weird and slow with almost no plot development at all (though I read about the short story after the fact and it sounds like it was just really poorly adapted to TV).

Battlefront has always been Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Take a look at the older ones and compare them to Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield 2.

They still played differently enough.
But since you mention 1942... the best Star Wars "Battlefield" game imo was really the Galactic Conquest mod for that game. Way better than the original Battlefronts.

Been tryin' to play a mario party game on the Wii U (don't remember which one) and I can't get the stupid Wiimotes set up properly to make it work.

Oh yeah definitely, it was clearly a lazy console port. Really disappointing. I like how it didn't support multiple input sources, either, so you had to choose conroller or KB M when booting it up.

I like all of it. All around it feels more engaging than what was in the first Battlefront game.

Yeah but the fact that they seem to be entirely random and don't even necessarily contain a guaranteed item of the class they're supposed to (which could be a beta glitch I suppose) means that you're rewarded for opening as many crates as possible, and the quickest way to open crates is to pay money for them.

Also... Your class rank is tied exclusively to how many cards you have unlocked for that class, and not anything logical like scoring points while playing that class.

If they ever do MW2 remastered I hope it's the same glitchfest that the first one was. I had so much fun in that game just because of all the weird ass random stuff that could happen, and all the killstreaks, and everything...

WW2 beta was a huge disappointment considering they kept advertising how they were "returning to their roots". Loada garbage.

There was no direct "quit game" button. You had to go to that settings tab and then return to the main menu and then quit from there. It was just a weird set-up given that there was very, very little content in the menus in the beta so they should have been able to add a "quit to desktop" button somewhere in there.

I still think microtransactions should be illegal in single player games.

I guess my thing is that even though the layout is identical, the Battlefront 2 menus actually feel like something out of a Star Wars movie.

Battlefield 1's menu looks like a rehash of Battlefront 1's menu and it doesn't feel like World War 1 at all. Looks like you're playing on console, too. On PC you have to go through way too many steps to exit WW2.

False. Last year's broke away from the normal format (though not necessarily for the better, I'll admit), and this year's returns to the format but it's a lot darker than any of the others imo.

lolwat the menus feel distinct and have a clear Star Wars theme to them. The theme feels more real and applicable than what they had in Battlefield 1. I don't know what else you'd expect though, there are only so many ways to configure menus in a game. On that note though the menu navigation is kind of a pain, so I'm not saying it's perfect. It just feels more organic to the game.

Don't know about the party system because lol no friends.

It is utter bullshit that I open up my Google app on my phone to read some news really quick, and not one, not two, but three sites have glaring spoilers in the headlines for an upcoming, unreleased episode of American Horror Story.
