Melodifestivalen is the format we use to select our Eurovision representative. MF takes part over the six coming Saturdays starting in two days from now. They always give us sneakpeeks on Thursday of the acts.

28 acts take part spread across four heats (so seven in each). The Top 2 from each heat go straight to the Final while the 3rd and 4th most popular go to the Second Chance from which four acts qualify making it 12 finalists. The heats and Second Chance are 100% televote while the Final is 50/50 televote and 11 jury groups.

A big difference from the UK is that we dont have that first past the post system in elections or whatever its called.

Using the Left-Right scale is probably the easiest way but we have three major ideologies which the parties take parts from: Socialism, Liberalism and Conservatism. There is also a bit of nuance in the parties with for example the Conservatives being pro-LGBT which is a more liberal trait. While the Socialdemocrats who are a Left-Center party is becoming increasingly authoritarian on immigration. And the Greens are considered Left in many ways but they are very pro-decentralisation.

They have been stuck in a negative spiral for close to a decade but they just keep treading down that path not trying to actually change for the better. Their leadership seem to take their seats in Parliament for granted and therefore dont feel the urgency to change. But if they drop below the 4% threshold in Septembers election and get booted from Parliament, then it will require them to make a big change if they wanna get elected back in. Its happened before that a party got kicked out by the voters for a term and then came back rejuvenated - so it could hopefully happen for the Libs too. If they get kicked out and still dont change then they will become a fossil. There are other parties which currently do a better job of championing the classical Liberal core issues as well.

Eh, they did the right thing. The pop song is generic and god forbid has English in it, not what I expect from France. Mercy is better with better voice, better melody and just what I'd expect. Although the performance is kinda boring and the guitar guy should leave wtf.

But just sending something people expect gets boring. A couple countries are stuck in that type of mindset at the moment and it usually gives not-so-great results.

The Libs are in danger of not remaining over the 4% threshold in Septembers national election in my country. And it suits them right. They used to be a great party but now they have become whiners who spread fake news and blame someone else when caught doing it.

Two examples of Liberal fake news:

* The Liberal party leader posted Friday that the Minister of Foreign Affairs had forced the High Commander to fire a controversial Army Major. When confronted by the news about the facts he based his statement on he says he got no facts but merely acted on a hunch. The clown is in other words making stuff up about serious allegations because he felt like it.

* Our Prime-minister held, in my opinion, a great speech about anti-semitism on Holocaust Remembrance day. One of the leading Liberals in Parliament only saw a bit of the speech in a summary on tv and then went on a twitter attack saying the PM is ignoring anti-semitism amongst Muslims and that hes a coward. The PM did explicitly target anti-semitism amongst the Far-right, Islamists and the Far-Left in his speech however. When confronted with her inaccurate tweet she blames the media for not properly showing the whole speech in the short summary she saw.

This particular source is Far-Left and they often post articles driven by emotion rather than reason but the article they wrote about these two cases of Liberal fake news is accurate.

My apartment is quite frankly too big for me (I have a whole room I barely use) but it is for some reason so very cheap that downsizing wouldnt save me money - it could even end up being more expensive.

I also got a big grocery store, the gym I go to and my health-central all a five minute walk from my home. So I got it good in many ways. Its just that this place is too big. Cleaning the place weekly is a real chore.

I moved here in October 2011 with my boyfriend at the time but we separated in April 2015 and he moved to another city so I kept the apartment.

There are two bedrooms, a big livingroom, a kitchen, a separate dining area, a bathroom and a guest toilet. Plus a storage room. And Im not the type of guy who hoard a bunch of stuff. I want my home simple and clean and practical so there are some empty spaces <_<

A roommate is one option but I dont want one >_>
