Also, speaking of Dragonstone, it is SUPER dumb that it was abandoned. Jamie even states that Daenarys will probably land there and the Lannisters still don't bother trying to defend it. Even if that wasn't the case, look at a map of Westeros: Dragonstone is on the border of Blackwater Bay and the ocean. It would essentially be the best position to defend King's Landing from a naval assault. By, say, the Ironborn which Cersei is at war with.

Coven was a typical AHS season with the typical AHS format. Don't get me wrong, I love that, and I love how they tell stories through that format.

It was a typical format, but it was terribly written compared to AHS' usual quality. Which is astonishingly bad because AHS is rather poorly written most of the time.

Hell, I haven't watched it since it aired and I still remember plot holes.

The only time I'd say this was really dumb and couldn't conceivably be just skipping the travel time is when Gendry runs back to East Watch (which I can't spell as one word cuz lolcensor), sends a raven, the raven flies to Dragonstone, Daenarys flies to beyond the Wall, all within a day or two.

It definitely suffered a substantial decrement in writing quality. Too many inconsistencies and just-so events that pulled me out of immersion.

While substantial, I really think the decrement has been continuously going on for a long while. It's not just season 7, it started at least in season 5.

Which makes sense. That's around the time they started adapting books four and five. That's when the the books started to split into tons and tons of different storylines.

There were a lot of dumb moments and a fair bit of fanwank (like three long scenes of characters walking and talking in different combinations just to catch up), but I liked some of the fanwank and it was nice to see Daenarys finally rip an army a new one with her dragon.

The only thing I truly, unflinchingly hate is that they made Jon's real name Aegon. That's fucking stupid.

Also, how the hell did anyone take a pic of its face to begin with if it reacted like that?

Remotely. The Foundation wouldn't test space or alternate dimensions, but it would test something like photos.

There's also an incident report where it breaches containment because someone saw a picture of it. It's revealed later in the page that the "picture" of it was a few pixels that wereslightly darker than the snow around it. It's even noted that the guy who had it might have looked at the photo a hundred times before and only just then noticed those odd, out-of-place pixels.

Asylum has been the best season so far. It's where AHS really starts to do a lot of unconnected plot lines, but this is the season where it works the best.

Coven is sewage thrown on a dumpster fire, skip it.

A lot of people hate Freak Show, but I liked it.

Hotel isn't bad; it's more mediocre than anything else.

I personally really liked Roanoke. It had some issues (could have just cut the final episode, for instance), but I enjoyed it. However, a lot of people don't.

Cult is looking alright to me so far, it's just fucking hilarious more than anything else.

Light doesn't know his name and L believes that he can only continue his investigation by meeting Light in person. He's a little bit smarter about it in the anime; he tells Light his name is Hideki Ryuuga which is the name of a famous singer/actor. Light can't risk trying that name because he might accidentally think of the actor's face when he writes it.

So Joseph Merrick was a monster, am I right?

Didn't make myself clear, my bad. I'm saying that he is hideous to look at because he's wrong. Frankenstein chose good-looking parts for his creation and they looked fine on a stitched-together corpse...but when it was animated, those attractive features only served to contrast with the unnatural ones and make him even more hideous.

His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful! Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun-white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion and straight black lips.
