do both people need PS+ though. I hate the direction of co-op games being online only, since the only reason I'd play co-op is with someone I know in person. After that Funi took over for the rest, then went back and redubbed the beginning a few years later. Ocean also apparently dubbed the rest of the series too, but that doesn't seem to be as widely available as the Funi dub.

That's a lie. You basically play the first few chapters twice, as 2 different characters, before moving on to the second half of the game. Getting an "ending" does not equate a playthrough.

Japanese dubs are like white noise and put me to sleep if I'm not already super hyped for it. Most of the time anime isn't good enough to justify requiring eyes on the screen the entire time, and it's much better to be able to just listen along during slower parts that use long still images and tons of dialogue.
