i actually think this could be close. Alex, Matt, Raven and Kevin seem firmly in Paul's camp so Josh would need to sweep the others to actually win. but i could see 6-3 maybe.

yeah. it's not a problem when you have a unit of each color, especially with blade tomes (or triangle adept, which is a common skill for Nowi). people do all physical teams fine as well, because WTA is much, much bigger in this game than other FE games.

I think the Jets have a decent chance of winning this week, so it's hard to pick them to be the most likely team to stay winless. The Bengals, on the other hand...

that's why i picked the Bears. the Jets have 3 winnable games in a row. the Bengals, well at least the next two after this. meanwhile the Bears have 3 of their worst matchups of the season in the next 4 games.

re:Innes. when he has 2 adjacent allies, he has the same res and better spd than Felicia. and EIGHTEEN more attack.

now maybe that isn't super often, but a single adjacent ally isn't too uncommon i don't think, which still closes the gaps somewhat and he still has way more attack. that's why everyone said he's a power-creeped Niles.

Felicia needs a slaying dagger with decent MT, otherwise she's just a worse Niles (and Niles is already mostly just a worse Innes).

it doesn't help that she can't even bait optimal Reinhardt without some combo of merges/support/res buff.

FFVIII sticks with Squall because I support him, pretty much. He hasn't always done the best. Laguna was the top ranked FFVIII character until the last couple years. I've let him die early the last couple years, too, so I'm trying to make him a higher priority because he has the best chance of any other FFVIII character to get casual support and catch fire late in the contest with the right draw.

i thought Laguna only ever came close to winning because of a cheater, though.

i mean i guess he still might have been the top ranked VIII character without the cheater when Liberal Degenerate was still around and you and pj and some others hadn't shown up. but right now it's hard to see Laguna doing any better than Squall.

i did my perfect run with Hector, Delthea, Lucina, Anna. same team as last week but Anna instead of Brave Ike. it was a lot harder this time, that's for sure. probably didn't need to stack my point total quite that much as i ended with a 4830.

i mean personally, it's not just that it doesn't fit her, i don't like that artist at all. Linde looks almost as bad to me, and while Ninian looks okay, she could certainly look a lot better with a different artist. i wouldn't want to see anyone drawn by them.

nice, that's the same as my Tharja. -atk hasn't ever really hurt her except when she was still 4*.

i got a Palla, which is only the second one i've ever pulled. i'll wait and see if i can get Elincia before i decide how to allocate my goads.

with Hector, Nowi, Brave Ike and Lucina lead i was barely able to rank in the top 10k with only 1 death and my team was surely worth quite a bit more than that. you'd have to use a high point team like that with multiple aethers and no horses/ranged units (or some merges) to be able to take even 1 death and rank top 10k. more likely you're going to want to go deathless.

what's weird is she's even lower on the f2p tier list, which by definition can't give her slaying lance or wrath to anyone else. there's really no reason to pay any attention to it. they STILL don't have dancers in S+, and just the fact that they had them only A+ for so long makes me disregard anything else they might say.

man, the last damn map of AA and of course it's full ranged horse cancer with them on the right and me on the left with the breakable walls and a couple forest tiles. i saved all my items, and my dancer's veil had a 2/3 chance to get Sonya or Azura who could dance her, who could one-shot Bow Lyn with her special. instead i got Celica and lost a unit. still top 10k but i'm pretty sure that would have been top 5k otherwise.

oh, and since i had used a lightning charm i really didn't need that much damage to kill Lyn. if my Celica wasn't -atk, it would have been enough as well.

the datamine showed dialogue with Ike, Mist, Soren and Titania, so the current theory is that those are the 40% bonus units while the new ones are 20%. i'm still skeptical about that, though. i think they'd want to push you to try to get the new units.

either way, you can lead with any random Soren, forfeit, and bring in your good team with whoever you want. that's what i did with Boey in the second TT. it's only worth about 4% less points.
