I keep trying to get into that series. The premise and the gameplay are so unique and cool, but the linear gameplay and laughable JRPG melodrama just takes me out of it.

I love Fallout 4. I found the quests in New Vegas to be beyond generic fetch malarkey.

That's fine if you think that about New Vegas, but I don't know how you can't think the exact same thing about FO4 considering 70% of its missions were repetitive radiant quests.

Came in to say this. New Vegas didn't always hit a home run with its quests (there are plenty of short ones like "kill ants down this highway" and "go visit Nipton" stuff) but it had a ton of memorable quests, plus various ways to complete 'em. Honestly, FO4's most memorable sidequest is probably the Silver Shroud one, or the unmarked one where you find the pony toy maker at the Slog, learn his tragic back story at the old toy skyscraper, and deliver tapes of his dead daughter. Right in the feels.
