That allows us to cosign for each other and gives us more power. We also never miss payments, and both work 40 plus hours a week. You're pretty young to be married. But that's a great system. I don't know anyone who is in a position to cosign, I'm afraid. And I recently moved out, and had to get a ton of household stuff. No one really were willing to loan to me without some sort of security, but I already am using my title currently on a loan. But that'll be paid off by April. Without loans, I just used credit cards instead. I know my credit history for the end of this year is going to look terrible, but it's a calculated risk if I can't get loans currently. My medical bill (which doesn't show on credit), is almost paid off. I'll just pay off any credit card balances with my tax return. My student loan is on a $0 payment and interest frozen, so I'll just return to school next fall for him. Then by mid next year, all my loans should be paid off, and cards back to <10% utilization. Then request a credit line increase at that point so all 3 can be above $2000. That's the game plan. Just wish there was a way to get one more. I could consolidate this stuff just for simplicity, and could actually celebrate the holidays. But I guess it can't be helped. The secured loan people said my credit score was 705 or something in the low 700s. Which she said was really good for my age. It's why I always get offers, but they never go through once they see my age. My credit score has probably dropped quite a bit though now. A few inquiries and bad debt ratio. Got a phone plan with no security deposit. Security deposit of the lowest rate for my apartment. The only loans I've been able to get is one where they sent a literal check in the mail and a secured loan that I had to use my car title for. Like, I never miss a payment. It's how I paid off my car. I'm responsible. Why are adults able to get loans just because they're older? Why is missed payments such a neglible thing to lenders if it's always on time? I'm honestly just trying to consolidate my current debt into one payment, as that would build credit better. And free me up a bit. Is there any refinancing wiggle room for people with young credit history? Loans without credit checks have 780% apr.
