Girugamesh 02/01/18 4:47:06 AM #141 | 24. Beat a game with romance as a central theme Hatoful Boyfriend Boy this game goes places. Props for starting off with pigeon dating, pulling back to reveal something even more absurd, and still keeping me 100% invested the whole time. My favourite of the three dating sims I played. 25. Beat a game with horror as a central theme Doki Doki Literature Club Unfortunately due to all the hype I'd been exposed to practically every twist this game had and so it lost a lot of it's impact. It's a neat game, I'm sure it blows your mind if you go in cold. 29. Beat a game with comedy as a central theme Dream Daddy Plays it relatively straight compared to the above two. Really cute game that I enjoyed a lot. So much so that it's what led to me playing through the other two dating sims on here. Damien > Joseph > Mat > Hugo > Craig > Brian > Robert 30. Beat a game with a female lead What Remains of Edith Finch Loved it. It's one of those games that sticks with you and you end up thinking about all day after you've finished it. The cannery sequence specifically fucked me up. One of my favourite games that I've played from last year. 4/50 --- |

Girugamesh 01/31/18 7:41:25 AM #461 | I beat FFV for the first time recently and enjoyed it a ton. Reminded me a lot of playing VIII in that there were a few ways you could abuse the job system to become ridiculously powerful and stomp through the rest of the game. --- |
