If you make $50K annually on average while being single vs. making a household income of $100K with your wife, isn't the latter a good thing? In fact, I think you break even.

People are saying you become the state's property once you sign those marriage papers meaning she gets a portion of your income (most of the time its half) if either party divorces.

Well in a lot of foreign countries that hold traditional values, you become shunned or an outcast if you're still si bff le with no kids at a certain age. You get all sorts of pressure from relatives and friends and then you get a gf and kid then later on you realize what a big mistake it was and you regret it.

Relatives from Asia called my mom up wondering when the hell I'm going to get a wife and some kids at 30 years old. My mom doesn't know and then they requested to speak to me via Skype. They told me that I should have my own family by now and that I'll be a disgrace if I end up like my uncle (single, drunk, and broke).

At that point I was just angry and told them that I'm going to enjoy my life the way i want and not live my life like them (jobless mother, lots of kids to feed, father is working slavery low wage contract jobs to feed their 5+ kids with 2 cups of rice and soy sauce once a day).

They're already charging us up the ass in taxes via increasing the general cost of living with transit, bridge crossings, parking meters, state tax, etc. They just legalized marijuana and have seen a big profit in its sales.... and they still need to borrow this fucking money. Just in case anyone is wondering, if you make <$100K in California, you're considered poor. <$50K is considered poverty level.

Because almost everyone is California has $200K laying around but there's no point since you'll just have foreign buyers who will pay for the house with $1M in cash anyway.
