DEFINITION of 'Working Class'
A socioeconomic term used to describe persons in a social class marked by jobs that provide low pay, require limited skill and/or physical labor, and have reduced education requirements. Unemployed persons or those supported by a social welfare program are often included in this group.

This is another topic where joel uses his own definitions that no one else does.

Because both groups have losers who jump into it because it's a way of them to feel like they have a "team" or an "identity" where they have friends.

This mainly applies to the weirdos who are alt-right and support Trump because of "the memes". These people are general misanthropic loners who want to feel like they are apart of something. And because they are losers, they indoctrinate themselves fairly easily. Likewise, people found out that being a brony was a thing and dove headfirst into the show.

What's disrespectful about not standing? It's just the existence of a protocol and people not following it, which is viewed as being disrespectful in a culture where the expected way of showing respect is by standing when someone enters a room.

so basically "this is how its always been." You haven't shown anything thats disrespectful about kneeling before something in and of itself, and havent named any other cultures in which kneeling in front of something is seen as disrespectful

I didn't say it made sense, you just asked about cultures where kneeling is seen as disrespectful in certain situations. You realize that cultural norms aren't based in logic, right?

How is it not? Kaep started the protesting and Marshawn Lynch is a pretty high profile player as well. People who aren't even necessarily fans of a team he's played for or even fans of football know of him because of the whole "I'm only here so I don't get fined" thing from a few seasons back.

Lynch is "high profile" but not for the protests. He wasn't even in the league last year when most of the protests were going on.

As someone else said, there are other of his former Seahawks teammates who are much more outspoken about the protests.

Yeah, I think there's a statistical problem where essentially any analysis of Trump's approval rating will tend to cap out at 45%, since he hasn't achieved much of a range.

In a lot of military situations, if someone with suitable ranking walks into the room, everyone standing at attention is considered "proper", whereas taking a knee would be disrespectful.

There are two problems with the arguments you are trying in this topic.

One is that you are acting like people are reaching to see the "hidden message" here, when I think most people if you took a picture and showed it to them would identify it.

Second is that you are acting like just because we can't read the guy's mind that it means there is an equally likely chance it was intentional as an accident. There are plenty of reasonable arguments to why it would be more likely that it was intentional.

Having worked around both film and digital, it seems like sets go better when stuff is on film, but that's just because film is expensive and so people are less willing to do hundreds of takes.

Which is why I'm thankful I learned on it. Teaches you discipline.

And I'll be honest, most of the things I work on any more I'm just doing a friend a favor and I don't care if the actors/actresses nail their poorly written lines perfectly. So the more smooth sailing the set is, the sooner I get to go home.

I think that for most amateur sort of productions, using film is people being pretentious, because they can get a lot more range out of better cinematography/gaffering then they do by shooting film under regular lights.
