When the government supposedly removes the consequences of bad behavior, you get more of it (women having unprotected sex with unreliable men). My frustration with the "system" is not directed at capitalism, but at the Federal Reserve. They lowered rates to 0%, propped up a stock market bubble, and drove housing prices way up again. If you buy a house, you risk buying at the top of another cycle. By every measure, stocks are either in a bubble or just heavily overpriced, and "risk-free" assets trail behind inflation. Absent government guarantees and the exemption of college debt from bankruptcy laws (student loans can't be discharged in bankruptcy), lenders will only approve loans for degrees that generate enough income to make student loan payments. Schools will have to cut money losing programs and sports to bring tuition down enough to fill seats. I say this as somebody who played college tennis, my school doesn't need that to educate people. And let employers issue IQ tests without legal repercussions. Selphie just happened to transfer to Balamb Garden in time to enter SeeD with the gang and go on a mission together. Irvine only enters the picture because the group gets stranded near Galbadia and is given fake orders from Balamb to snipe Edea. And of course...
