Oh that's disappointing to hear. In good news though they've confirmed we'll be getting some free dlc mons after release with continued support (probably depending upon sales) so provided they clear up some of the mess, sounds like a big win to me.

Dual blades are super strong in the demo. But part of that might be because of how much water damage the demo dbs have. Still though, very strong, very mobile. Getting hit doesn't knock you out of demon mode anymore, that's a nice change.

Good news for Sytha then, sounds like I'll need to practice that Cartwheel thing you mentioned...

Yeah Gunlance was only ever super good when slime was op, and it was outclassed even then. Still fun though.

At least LS sounds fun and viable now, the less tripping makes me feel way better about it.

I think IG needs to be mid tier to keep it balance, it's too versatile to give it too much power, the aerials and range + buff combinations are already fantastic. Just my opinion on it though.

The only bit I found unpleasant was the needlessly long intro, there's slow burns and then there's that. Giving the player a bit more interaction during that period would've gone a long way, even if it was just beating up a training dummy in a mock battle.

I had a couple of issues with the PC port, but turning it off and back on again always fixed it. Seems like a slightly shonky port, but it's serviceable.

In a perfect world you would not have all these heroes and content locked behind hours of grinding, which is still the case.

Removing microtransactions doesn't change ANY complaint that people had. It still takes many hours to unlock a hero that you paid for. All it does it reduce the amount of money the game makes. Which ultimately is what this rage is all about - game developers making money instead of donating their work to gamers for free.

The fact that all the ragers are content now that NOTHING HAS CHANGED except the game makes less money... that's just sickening, and completely expected. They will now proudly buy the game and give EA their $60, after being so adamant about their "boycott".

Imagine if even 0.1% of those "boycotters" instead spent $60 on indie games which actually DO need the money and won't gross $1 BILLION IN REVENUE.... one can dream....

Seems like this topic hit a nerve, but isn't the indie market making more revenue than ever now? The only real detriments to it have been the slew of shoddy kickstarters from big names people thought they could trust. I don't think the casual gamers of the world will ever be fully enticed into indie gaming unless they find they have niche interests and delve more after being attracted to a genre through the big, bombastic market explosion of AAA's.

As much as I hate on some of the AAA business practices, they need to exist and do well for the indies to grab some share of that market in the first place.
