I always back in, no rear camera. It's easier to see what's happening - having worked in auto insurance before, I know there is a ridiculous number of parking lot crunches that happen when two people back out and into each other.

EDIT: In all seriousness, this person should not have taken on this commission, put you on a waiting list to pay later, or clarified the length of time it would take to complete the commission. Managing expectations is basic when it comes to business transactions. Sounds like the artist needs to get it together before continuing to offer commissions.

Netflix DN re-Americanized the "High school shooter" concept behind DN anyway. It was fine. Made Light the whiny angsty teen he should be and not some kind of Savant. The plotholes involving some of the issues with how the DN worked are plotholes in both. The original didn't do it any better. And L as a black guy is great.

"Teen killer" is the only parallel there. "High school shooter" is specifically American. The outer mask/inner emotional reality on display in Death Note is rooted in Japanese culture.

L was the best part of Netflix's Death Note. But as with GitS, I wish they left well enough alone.

Intelligence isn't really the yardstick here. How the person must think in their position is completely different between managers and employees. Managers are being constantly forced to see big picture, to delegate, to deal with overarching budgetary concerns that the average employee is not privy to nor responsible for upholding. If they are bogged down in hands-on minutiae, they will not be able to perform their job effectively. Employees under the managers are primarily responsible for details and execution.

This is what leads employees to think of managers as 'stupid' because they don't have immediate recall of all the details - they don't have to. That's your job, not theirs. They just need to ensure that the machine in general is running smoothly.

Emotional intelligence is also a factor that needs to be considered. Someone who is not very book smart can still win a managerial position because of who they know or how they make others feel at work - or they can pretend to be a supervisor and boss their coworkers around long enough to be promoted. I've seen both.
