I feel like I understand this scene on a deeper level. They say Maria will one day be able to give birth to a galaxy after a thousand years of training. Thinking about Featherines role in the story (once she appears), I feel like this is talking about writing stories. Maria will one day be able to write her own universe. Right now she can only write silly headcanons about her stuffed animals, but she will one day have a novel.

I absolutely loved Civ IV, then hated Civ V. Didn't pick up VI until just recently with the Humble Monthly. It's everything I loved in IV, none of the stuff I hated in V, and some extra goodies for extra fun.

I've only played five or six of the current civs, so I'm in no hurry to add more, but I think I'll enjoy playing Scotland when I get around to getting this expansion.

I just had a similar experience and I feel the need to share it with someone.

I was watching Stranger Things season 2, episode 5. We learn that Lucas's sister is named Erika (my name, which isn't rare, but not super common either. Like, I definitely notice whenever I see other people or fictional characters with my name). Then a minute later, the scene changes to Dustin on the phone and he's talking to a person with my last name, which is not a common last name AT ALL.

Legit got freaked out.

Edit: Apparently, he was actually not on the phone with anyone. He was just pretending. I was a little too freaked out for the next five minutes to notice anything that was going on lol

I tried to get Arria's opinions on the Persona bro characters, but no response. D: Even thinking about what she's said about them in the past, I have no idea. I think we both generally preferred the 'third male party member' in each game i.e. Akihiko, Kanji, and Yusuke.

Yosuke was great. Junpei's episode where he betrayed the group soured me on him forever.

P3 didn't have as much to do at night, iirc, and there's no way P4 forced you to sleep as much as P5 did. I'd have to see nerdy statistics on that. P4 only did it when you had to watch the Midnight channel, whereas P5 did it for... every fucking thing, it seemed.

I played the first Trails in the Sky. It was pretty good, I'd say. Am I forgiven? :<

I also remembered reading that Kanons VA got married recently, so I mentioned it to her. She didnt realize that Kanons VA was a woman, but then Kanon spoke and she said she could hear it. I know Yuu Kobayashi has voiced a lot of feminine men and masculine women both. (I also showed Arria some of her artwork, which was interesting).

We went through a list of traits in females with autism, and then that led into adult females with autism. We, uh seem to fit a lot of those traits. >_> This conversation literally took over an hour and I thought Arria had forgotten about Umineko. >_>

LiS is an example of a game that's greater than the sum of its parts, imo. If I were to rate each individual aspect, I'd be critical of it, too. A lot of characters are terrible, a lot of choices don't matter, and the writing (especially in the beginning) is embarrassingly bad. Yet someone when you blend all the ingredients together, the overall meals comes out delicious and satisfying.

I don't have a favorite episode. They all have their ups and downs and tbh there are a lot of scenes that I don't remember when they happened, sooo... >_>

Dominions 4. Dom5 just came out and would probably be my choice here if I had played it, but I don't have the money for it. The game itself isn't hard. In fact, it's embarrassingly easy when you're only playing AI. Therefore the real fun is in multiplayer, but the game's small fanbase ensures that only the most hardcore players are into it, and they have such a high degree of technical knowledge that it's hard to compete.

That said, the game is damn fun for a fantasy war nerd like me.

I ended up not playing much of Vagrant Story for possibly the dumbest reason you'll ever hear.

The font.

When I was younger, I had a phobia of certain fonts. All caps, letters close together, bolded, things of that nature. Vagrant Story's font was like something out of a serial killer's ransom note. Sure, it added to the aesthetic, but I couldn't handle it.

I would probably be fine now. At worst I get mildly unsettled by certain fonts, but I'm not longer as phobic as I once was.

A: She is so damn clever. So shes already figured out that Kinzo is already dead?
K: I think all the siblings suspect it, but theyre trusting Kyrie to be the most professional about it discussing it with Krauss.

Kyrie defines what it means to be Kinzos caretaker and part of it is that Kinzo has to die a natural death.
A: Wait, does she think that they murdered Kinzo? I was under the impression that one day the servants or Krauss went up to his room and he had finally croaked.
K: Possibly. I dont think they murdered him. I think your assessment is correct, but Kyrie has to cover her bases. Also, if they were to find Kinzos body mysteriously burnt beyond recognition that would be enough for Kyrie to call foul play for many reasons.

Yeah, I had a fun enough time with Jade Cocoon, but it wasn't like... super awesome or anything. Not on the level of Suikoden 2. I've only played a few hours of Persona 1.

The best part of Jade Cocoon imo was the aesthetic. It's Ghibli-forest scenery in ye olde Japan featuring capturable monsters. But the gameplay and graphics outside of cutscenes are just... standard PS1 fare.
