I want an option to turn off the in-battle handholding, as telling me what moves are effective prevents me from using any brain cells. That is the make-or-break thing.

I mean, it's always bothered me how they show you a symbol that tells you whether or not you've caught a Pokemon before. People should have to memorize what Pokemon they have. The lack of an option to turn that off ruined the game for me.

And I also don't like how the game shows you how much PP you have left for each move. A good player should have to count how many times they've used a move. Not making me do this threatened to put me in a vegetative coma because my brain almost shut down from lack of use. Unacceptable.

And don't get me started on HP bars. Actually being told how much health a Pokemon has trivializes the game's difficulty and makes it completely unplayable for me. If they don't give you the option to turn off HP bars in the next one then that is an absolute deal-breaker. What is this, a game for children?

You would hate pokemon showdown if you don't play on there yet, they spell out the exact amount of HP a pokemon has left for you and the exact % of damage a pokemon's move does.

To be fair to prof, just because both sides accept (even in a misunderstanding) doesn't necessarily mean it's automatically fair. Trades are often trial and error since the value of players can be rather nebulous. If it did mean they were fair then there would be no need for the veto system that's in place. But to be fair to you, scare, I don't think anyone here thinks you're trying to bamboozle prof on purpose or anything.

I'm also sure that now people know a 92 WR is available, they would be willing to offer more than what he's getting in that deal.

I don't quite think this should be used as points against a trade though, it seems like a bit of a slippery slope to me. At that point we would have to put every trade on hold to make sure they're getting the fairest offer.

Bringing this back for review now that it's a one step trade.

Not sure if Scare needs to re-confirm this or not, but the Bills will preemptively vote against it as we're still not clear how this is good for the Wildcats and there was never any explanation provided when we asked last time.

If it's just about cap space, the Wildcats could just as easily trade Fitzgerald who is 5 years older and would cut their cap penalty on the trade in half.

This sums it up for me. Massey is a 25 y/o 90+ rated player, that should go for a way higher premium even with cap issues. Far be it from me to tell prof how to run his team, which is why I'm not going to take into account which players he "should" be cutting, but fitz makes more sense from a player-caliber standpoint and a cap standpoint due to the lesser cap hit for next year. There is no way I see massey's value as anything less than a mid-1st round pick, in terms of picks.

I am not really a fan (as I alluded to in a previous post) of some of the new trade moves being done, in this case if something is legally binding then I don't think it should be overwritten unless both parties agree to it. IE before the "clause" (which I don't even remember what the deal is with this really) is suspended, I think KCF and Scare (the 2 previous trade parties) should agree to it.
If scare agrees then I would agree with eddv's assessment of being more palatable, though I still don't think it's fair as far as value, but I made a trade myself purely for cap reasons that wasn't equal value-wise so I get that that kind of trade is kind of held to a different standard.
If scare doesn't agree then they should try to work something else out, as I don't think he should be forced to do it. Not that I believe KCF would do that, because I don't, but I just want to make my stance clear since his post doesn't explicitly say "I would be willing to suspend the clause IF scare agrees to it"

I will say that I've never seen a company give as much away in trailers as the Pokemon games have the last few years. There have been almost no surprises in the last three or four releases.

Like imagine, in ORAS, how much more hype DEOXYS IN SPACE would have been if the entire Delta Episode wasn't spoiled.

You do have a choice to watch these things but it punishes you a little bit for being interested by giving away too much.

I wonder if it's because so many of the new games are remakes that they feel they almost have to do that to get people to buy in? Like that they have to let people WHAT'S NEW so they have something to look forward to instead of it just being a new coat of paint.

Hm, I didn't think about the cap aspect of it, that is a good point. I guess you could just sign a bunch of the lowest paid position and then swap them to other positions that make more. Even at the backup/3rd string levels that kind of savings would add up.

Not that I'm accusing anyone of this, but I would guess now that that's the kind of thing KCF is looking to prevent before it becomes an issue.

Also, since we're airing concerns, I am a bit concerned about the recent advent of "trade picks this year for picks next year" type of trade. What happens if the user who was in charge of a team when the trade happened leaves, and the team is controlled by AI? IE I trade a 1st and a 7th this year for a 1st and a 7th next year, under current rules one team would give their 1st, the other their 7th, this year. Next year, the opposite. What if in th emiddle of that, like the offseason, user b left? Is that the kind of thing KCF can enforce an AI to do?

So, without hearing from KCF first, I would like to post my thoughts on the roster change portion:

My assumption here is that there has been an increase in people trying to see if they can get a ratings boost from their players by checking them at every position, which would not only be a hell of a lot of work for KCF, but also not really conducive to the GM experience. You can't just look at a guy in real life and say "yeah this DE would miraculously make a better OLB." So from that standpoint I get it.

However, I would think that the 0 inquiries and all changes being binding would be sufficient to curb this sort of behavior, I don't really understand why it needs to be limited to 1 per. I mean, if you want to change a player using the guidelines I listed above, it would already be a huge risk, as rarely do those types of switches (I'm talking true position switches, not just right side to left and vice versa) work out in favor of the team. All limiting the number of switches would do is limit roster flexibility, and I don't think that itself is gaming the system, as stevr mentioned. However, doing that with the intention of fishing for the highest rating for a player certainly is, and that would totally be eradicated with even the 2 guidelines I outlined.

TLDR I personally feel 0 inquiries as to what a rating would be, and all changes being final, would be sufficient to stop any game-playing, and would not screw over people like stevr who actually did pour resources into being able to swap positions. And I don't think swapping positions itself is gameplaying.
