DKC3 has a really neat overworld thing going on, that felt like a larger adventure, but DKC2 is a better, more polished version of the original game. I'm going with that one.

I think provided I have everything at my disposal that Leon does I should be able to survive and make it out alive, provided the enemies and everything still works with video game logic.
(I.e. bad guys have attack patterns, I can survive a pitchfork to the gut, etc...)
