| UnfairRepresent 02/03/18 8:10:39 AM #1 | A 24-year-old man has been cleared of carrying out a homophobic graffiti attack saying ****** out at one of Dublins best known gay bars. Eoin Berkeley from Hamptonwood Way, Finglas, Dublin 11, pleaded not guilty to causing criminal damage with chalk graffiti on the facade and panels at the George Bar in the city-centre in the early hours of May 20th last year. The offence at district court level can carry a sentence of up to one year. His trial at Cloverhill District Court heard claims Mr Berkeley, who has been getting psychiatric and psychological treatment, was wearing a raccoon onesie outfit when he was arrested shortly after the graffiti attack. Despite allegedly admitting the crime to garda, he was granted a dismissal following a number of technical arguments made by defence solicitor Tony Collier. The lawyer contended that the case had to be thrown out due to gaps in evidence such as the lack of CCTV evidence as well as the absence of a Garda witness who authorised an interview when Mr Berkeley allegedly owned up. Mr Berkeley has 23 previous convictions including weapons offences, possessing knives and an imitation firearm. Garda Lorcan Murphy of Pearse Street Garda station told the court that written in chalk on the front of the George Bar was: ****** out, *****, ****** bar, **** ***. A swastika symbol was also drawn on the front of the bar in chalk. After watching CCTV footage from the bar, garda arrested Mr Berkeley in the vicinity. Garda Murphy said Mr Berkeley was detained at Pearse Street Garda station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act and during interview he made full admissions that it was him on the CCTV and it was him that wrote these words and images on the front of the George pub. An invoice for the clean-up work was furnished to the court. The bars general manager Darragh Flynn was called to give evidence and said he saw a swastika as well as the homophobic comments on the front of the bar after it had closed. He said he watched the CCTV footage of the incident which showed a person in a onesie. Defence solicitor Tony Collier argued that this witness was not the manager listed on the charge sheet as being the injured party. Judge Blake was told that the named person no longer worked there but Mr Flynn had the same rank. Mr Berkeley smiled throughout the hearing but did not address the court. He had been in prison on remand since July when his bail was revoked. Radar images from Norwegian flight DY1156 to Munich show the aircraft changing route and landing back at Oslo. The flight, which took off from Oslo Airport at 9:34am on Saturday, had been due to land in Munich at 11:45am. But it turned around near the Swedish border over the Skagerrak sea, flew north and then circled before landing back at Oslo. Flight mapping website FlightRadar24 tweeted details of the unexpected change in course. "It is correct that DY1156 from Oslo bound for Munich was forced to turn back to Oslo because a fault was found with the toilets on board. The aircraft circled over Hedmark to burn fuel so that it wasn't too heavy to land," Fatima Elkadi, communications officer with Norwegian, told Dagbladet on Saturday. A further twist to the story emerged when the newspaper flushed out information revealing that 85 people from the Norwegian plumbing industry - of which around 60 were plumbers from the Rrkjp company - were on board the aborted flight. The sanitation technicians were travelling as part of a work trip, according to the report. "So many plumbers on an aircraft and it has to turn back due to toilet trouble. That is enough to make you laugh," Hans Christian degrd, a plumber from Ulstein who was on the flight, told Dagbladet. Rrkjp CEO Frank Olsen also told the newspaper that the passengers took the situation with good humour. "We'd have gladly fixed the toilets, but it must unfortunately be done from the outside and we didn't want to take a chance on sending out a plumber at 10,000 metres' altitude," Olsen said. Basically the plan was to bomb the shit out of the UK and then storm it. They (correctly) figured that the UK could only hold out in the sky for so long. The thing is the UK fought tooth and nail and despite more limited resources hung in there. However the Germans and Italians were still destroying planes and targets faster than the UK could rebuild. The Germans got impatient however due to lack of results and as you said, the fact the UK was clearly not out of the fight despite being pushed made them give up on the whole enterprise. According to police, Hisato Inato, a company employee, allegedly burned his children after pressing a heated piece of metal on the boys stomach and back between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Fuji TV reported. The boys' kindergarten notified a child consultation center which contacted police. Police said Inato, who was arrested on Monday, has admitted to the charge. His wife was out at the time of the incident. It's an investigation about an accusation that has no proof. You want cops to lose their jobs just because they were accused of something?
