destroying historic monuments should be a prison sentence. I hate the whole non-violent crime shouldnt be a prison sentence. As someone who has watched a friend get frauded into oblivion, and the fraudster only getting slapped on the wrist and receiving probation and house arrest for 43 counts of fraud because it was non violent pisses me off. That person by the way ended up committing more fraud with even more victims and the fraudster learned there lesson.

The problem with that though is the entire prison system is absolute garbage and more often than not inhumane. So do we leave these people who just hurt the average person regularly only to receive probation then they just keep hurting more people until they get caught only to receive more slaps on the wrist.

sorry im from canada, catch and release does not work it just makes things harder for the average person who doesnt break the law. Our justice system is incredibly lenient, in my area we watch the same people just keep doing the same things. They just get let out because theyre not violent and then they keep hurting the people over and over through theft and/ or fraud.

americas justice system is absolute trash and the polar opposite of canadas so I know there will be some hang ups in belief here. I dont know much about the uks system admittedly.

Non violent crime still have victims and in this case the victims are the people.

it actually can. Cost of travel to the new school, the new school being generally shit etc.

these kids need to be punished, but expulsion is not the right call, its way to extreme. These kids should be definitely suspended and kicked out of any extracurricular activities theyre in. From there they should face lawful consequences. The real punishment should be juvenile detention and probation.

if these kids feel shame for what theyve done at all having to be judged constantly by their peers will also have an impact on them. However who knows if these kids do experience shame.

Yeah, I dont know anymore. First of all there is this fact that they dont want to accept our way of life and then there is the other major problem. The housing crisis is at an all time high and we want to let 1 million people in every year when we dont even have homes for the people already here.

maybe start making 1 million new homes every year first for fuck sakes. Im tired of seeing homeless people that are homeless because there isnt enough housing, last year me and my family almost went homeless because every single apartment had a bidding war. Its just getting worse and that isnt even counting the fact that current housing isnt even affordable for the average family.
