Mewtwo is a solid midcarder. I'm not trying to say he's weak. He won't get wrecked by any non-Noble Niner. I just resisted the idea that he was a near elite.

What started my whole "Mewtwo is a Fraud" campaign was a poll I ran during noms of the 2018 contest asking who was the strongest non-Noble Nine Nintendo character, and Mewtwo won, which legitimately stunned me.

I suppose I should have just let those people keep thinking that for my own benefit, but what can I say? I can't help myself.

Mewtwo was also pretty clearly bandwagoning by the time he got to Pikachu.

I just had seen enough of Mewtwo in 2007, 2008, and 2010 to safely discard anything I saw from him in 2013.

I guess, but we already saw Charizard perform over his head in 2010 and then come back down to earth in subsequent contests.

To figure out a character's extrapolated percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

Once Mewtwo beats Sephiroth, you can throw all his results out. Pokemon in general was silly that contest, but they were also getting rallied almost every match.

If we're talking about stuff he was in other than Friends, he had a short run on Growing Pains where he played Carol's boyfriend and ended up dying in a drunk driving accident. That episode always stuck with me even before I knew who he was.

To be fair, the reasoning they had for denying him on the plane was legit imo. He'd been away from the team for more than a week and suddenly wants to play, get him ready first. He can't just be like "I'm not gonna do anything the team wants but play games so that I technically fulfill my contract"

But I never saw any real reason to fear Mewtwo based on literally every other performance we saw from him outside of 2013, which had sketchy results all over the place

I'm guessing Silver had a nice little chat with Morey to let him know that they can't just not play Harden if he's healthy

Perhaps the most outright hilarious result of the contest, back in the days when Sora was the guy who embarrassed other characters instead of routinely embarrassing himself.
