I wouldn't call Edward's run a redemption run, it was more of a lucky break. I don't feel it started off with the goal of redeeming him, so it's a bit unlike the other runs which are typically designed for that purpose.

The fact Yang's wife always gets talked about more than the guy himself pretty much guarantees he'll never get that run. And I've never met a person that was an Amarant fan. I think he gets unwarranted hate, but as far as supporting him I don't think I'd ever do that either.

I don't think I've ever gotten a flu shot. I may later in life, not sure. My mom always gets one and almost without fail it gives her a decent case of the flu. I'm not really sure if that's genetic and I don't want to test it necessarily.

I haven't received a COVID vaccine since the first ones came out. No negative side effects, so maybe. It's more likely no than yes, but a lot more chance I get one than a flu shot.

He's fallen back in the bottom 10 I think. The idea is to help him back out of that, so the push is intended to be enough to raise his stats. The more the merrier though!

I like Braska fine. But that was Genny's project; she got a lot more help from guff than me on it I think. There were some other people in on that run (the good one) as well. I've always thought Braska needs than FFX-0 to come to fruition to really be great, because you just never really learn enough about him through the Jecht spheres. I mean, enough I suppose, if we're using characters who do well in SMFFFC as a gauge...

I told Genny you put Braska on the list and she was wondering why. I don't really think it's feasible to give Braska a decent run if Wakka is coming back to get out of the bottom 10, plus Shuyin still will be around. Also I don't know if you've noticed, but my legitimate favorite is a pretty weak character if guff and I aren't supporting him. All those things combined and even if Braska got in, he would end up hard booted almost surely. I'm not really interested in bringing in characters just to get bad stats that way.

It's possible they won't be strong, but I feel like XVI has been much more hyped and played by this board than XV was. I have a feeling its cast will fair a lot better than its predecessor.

Also no Wakka, despite the fact he will definitely be getting in next year (Genny and I will probably spend all nominations on him).

Yeah, it would be shocking to have Jill and Joshua not make the contest. Especially over some of those jobber supremes you've got up there.

Bird Box Barcelona is... okay. It does suffer from that "I find it hard to cheer for the protagonist" syndrome, which is usually a demerit for me in horror. As I said previously, I did not watch the first Bird Box despite its overwhelming presence a few years ago. I am familiar with the idea of the universe though. I think the strongest part of this film is the story it tells about how dangerous religious fanactics are; I did like that the protagonist was able to be reached and break out of the abusive cycle this type of faith blinds you to being able to see. I wouldn't call it groundbreaking, but I did find it to be inoffensive. Could be worth your time, maybe.

Satanic Hispanics on the other is completely worth your time. What. A. Ride. I had no idea how much I'd like this movie coming into it; I'm not even sure I ranked it highly enough yet. It's an anthology film featuring tons of great talent, casting and directing and beyond. It's a good mix of classic horror and comedy, which it's able to do due to the fact it weaves multiple different stories together. I will say if the... 4th?... one had been a bit better I may have even been willing to give this the S rank. There was one of the anthology that didn't quite hit me the same the others did in quality; unsure if it was a cultural boundary or it just wasn't as good. It has some of the best effects too, which is a shame. I wanted to love this movie completely by the time it got to that point, thankfully it recovers in an awesome way though. If you have this limited release playing nearby, it's worth supporting the creators on this one. It's partially subtitled but there's a lot of English as well, probably more English than Spanish really.

Believe it or not, I managed to never see the original despite it being a cultural phenomenon at the time. I know the gist of the world; this movie had no direct ties to it, it just took place in the same universe. I wasn't quite the avid watcher I am today; Genny says it was a bit better than the original, though.

Got around to Bird Box Barcelona last night; seeing yet another Spanish film tonight with Satanic Hispanics. I'll post thoughts and rank both of them to avoid posting that big ol' list twice in a row.
