Is Hamas "Palestine", or is it not? Is Israel threatening the West Bank or is it not? Is invading Gaza but leaving the West Bank alone "the death of Palestine" or is it not?

It's "exclusively Hamas territory" because Hamas doesn't recognize the legitimate, democratically elected Palestinian government of the West Bank. The PA has no control or authority over Gaza.

I really wish Rockstar would put out another top-down classic style GTA. It doesn't need to be big budget - have their B team make it and then put in on Steam for $40 or something.

Phases 4-6 seem like a mess tbh. The final villain will be some guy that will have already been beaten at least twice before he shows up again in like 3 years.

Honestly, I think it's just a fear of committing to it on their part. The fact that we haven't had an avengers movie in this long I think it's pretty evident of that. They went into the first couple of phases with a vision and a specific set of characters leading to specific crossover story lines, but after end game I don't think they had enough confidence in the heroes they still had in play to do that same kind of thing so instead they've spent years just throwing shit at the wall to see what people will or won't like and the end result of that is everything feels weird and disjointed.

Why do people keep saying that this is going to lead to the death of Palestine as a country when Israel is exclusively engaging with Gaza and is otherwise leaving the West Bank alone? People have to keep reminding other people that Hamas isn't the same as Palestine, yet when Israel has an operation that's pushing exclusively into Hamas territory people start staying stuff like Israel is going to take over Palestine. Which is it?

There is no step closer no matter what you do. Israel could give half their land to Palestine right now and the result is they would want everything. Same goes for the other way around. At its core this is a religious war about a holy land between two opposing factions, with neither wanting the other to exist. There will never be a solution to this conflict until both sides stop being what they are, and thats not happening.

This is just one anecdotal observation, but it does highlight how this conflict goes well beyond just Hamas and the Israeli government. This is a mother who has never been to Israel or Palestine whose son is fighting for Hezbollah:

They could have stopped paying for exclusives and 6 month exclusivity contracts while fighting the merger, since stuff like FFXVI being a Sony exclusive at launch was explicitly used against them in court. The problem was partially that Sony remained neck deep in the exact thing they were saying was anti competitive while arguing against it in court.

Probably the ground invasion. And if the '82 Lebanon War is any indication, Israel will fire high-explosive tank shells into any building that has active combatants engaged in fire. Which will collapse the building, thus eliminating the combatants.

Of course, looking at history of this conflict, you can be damn sure HAMAS will selectively choose civilian residential buildings for offensive operations. Then weep crocodile tears over the dead.

So Israel's evacuation warning is just there to blunt that HAMAS tactic.

Hamas is explicitly telling people not to leave their homes. From the BBC live update feed:

I also can't find it anymore, but I believe Israeli officials have explicitly said they're going to destroy anywhere a rocket is fired from and they're tired of Hamas firing into population centers from kitchens and then everyone getting angry when Israel fires back. It's not an exaggeration to say they're pretty much done listening to international outcry over that. In their mind any building destroyed, and anyone in it, is explicitly something Hamas has control over.

The bigger concern is today/tomorrow is when they're calling for flooding the holy Mount with Muslims. If they start damaging the wailing wall or temple mount it's going to get way worse for everyone, and Hezbollah is now saying they're waiting for "the right time" to fully engage so it looks like Iran may have successfully pulled Lebanon into the fight as well.

To be entirely fair, this isn't/wasn't strictly because she's female. Another famous example is that Toriyama completely forgot that there was an SS2 and originally called/wrote the form Goku showcased in the Buu Saga with the super long hair "SS2" he had to be reminded of this fact and changed accordingly. He's the first to admit that he's really forgetful and unlike other authors, doesn't write down stuff / keep a log. He really should.

Hamas has in its charter that they fight for the global eradication of the jewish people. What's your peace plan for them and Israel? We can work out a 10 year plan that works towards that, but what about today? And it's not just Hamas. Hezbollah in Lebanon also wants them dead, as does Syria and Iran. You can have a long-term vision for peace, but the people who think differently than you need to buy into it or it won't work.

FYI, the long term plan has been Israel normalizing relations with all the other middle east countries, which has been working. Half the reason Hamas attacked is because Israel and Saudi Arabia were close to friendly relations. I'm not advocating for a permanent blank check to Israel and we should absolutely hold their feet to the fire, but also recognize that what we're doing is holding the lives of everyone in Israel over a pit and telling them that if they don't act the way we decide is right then they will all die. And while I happen to think western democracy is a good system, can we also hold China and Russia accountable for holding other countries hostage if they don't act like THEIR preferred systems? Again, the world is messy and complicated and we need to work with what we have.

If everyone actually ran with policies you'd prefer, tens to hundreds of millions of people would die. The world isn't perfect, and neither are people, and you have to decide as a person whether you'd rather accept the world's imperfections and work within that system to save as many people as possible, or never compromise and see everyone die on the altar of your self righteousness. It's extremely easy to live in your sheltered world and demand the best from everyone because you'll never have to decide who lives and who dies. Others do. So judge them all you want, but recognize that's a luxury you've given yourself for your own mental health and not at all how humanity has worked over its entire history.

Take this specific example. I'm going to pretend you can control us policy right now. Who do you let die: the 9 million in Israel or the 2 million in Gaza? If the US pulls out, it's the former. If they don't, at worst it's the latter. You can't wave a magic wand and change how other people will act. What do you do Mr President?

They're probably waiting for the Super manga to get a bit further before continuing the mainline series, even if they Moro arc is ready to go. Probably trying to space out seasons so that the break between them isn't TOO large.

This new show and Super DB Heroes are filler in the purest sense: random shit made up to introduce new and different designs, fusions, etc that can be harvested for merchandising and in-game purchases. I have no doubt it'll have about as much relationship to canon as that Rock Lee chibi spin off anime from the Naruto series.

This just exists so that the mobile games have fodder for new banners. It's the same reason why Super Dragon Ball Heroes was released as a web series.

I don't think you're going to get much traction on that when the accusation is just a TikTok live video. Not saying whether I think that's the right standard or not but someone pressing charges / filing a lawsuit carries much heftier possible punishments for lying.

Reckless driving can be upgraded to vehicular homicide if the person you kill later dies in the hospital. If a person knowingly spread a lie that devastating and it results in the death of the accused I don't see how it's any different.

But buying enough copies of your book so that it becomes a best seller and then giving them away at campaign events is something many politicians have done and as far as I'm aware nobody's ever been arrested over it.

There is precedent for somebody driving somebody else to suicide to be found guilty of murder. I want to say it's only been one or two cases, and in one of them it was definitely more extreme because she was actively on the phone coaching him out of getting out of the car that was filling with fumes. So the potential for justice is there, if there's enough evidence and a prosecution that really wants it.

The British agreed to divide the territory of Palestine differently, mostly in secret, on three different years to three different people, without consulting anyone, all before the Ottomans even lost. No. This is coming from someone who has played co-op all the way through every other borderlands, and I couldn't get more than 2 hours into tiny tina. The shooting and gunplay should be just as good, but there's something about the emphasis on magic effects that makes combat slightly less satisfying and the world map / random encounter design is an awful slog that really works against the game. I really wanted to like it, but I'm probably never going to finish it.

Ehh... its less that 5 countries are involved and more that it's 1 country vs 1 country's proxy armies. AFAIK the Lebanese and Syrian government haven't said anything about what's going on and would prefer to be left alone in this conflict.

I highly suspect that the ending D&D did was the ending Martin was going to do, but it got so much hate that what little energy he had left to write went away.

I thought it was long since confirmed that contractually he had to deliver and outline with an ending to HBO for them to even bother making the show. It's always been his ending. The question is just did D&D take the right path to get there? That might just be an old rumor, though.
