My mother was a lifeguard as a summer job in high school. She taught my siblings and I to swim at a very young age. I really didn't know until adulthood that swimming was a somewhat non universal skill. I didn't grow near the ocean or anything like that either.

I liked it better before. Too many threes now and the defense seems less physical.

Maybe its the photo quality, but I think the originals have a more realstic look. The newer ones look more fake to me.

I was already like 17 when I first played Final Fantasy Tactics. I got trapped in a fight against him and didn't have a spare save slot. The game prompted you to save right before him. I assumed I was getting some cut scene or, at very least, if you were strong enough to win the previous fight you must be able to win the next one.

I wasn't. I ended up giving my copy of the game of away in anger. FFT is the game I hate the most of any I have played due to this fight.

Only once, and it was a few months ago.

I was having a heart issue. I was referred to a cardiologist. He seemed like a really experienced and respected one. My family doctor already ordered the basic tests, a stress test, had me wear a heart monitor, and even ordered an electrocardiogram. My family doctor said to take this stuff when I went to see the heart doctor.

I show up at the heart doctors place. I finally got to see him, and he left like 5 minutes in to chat with somebody dropping off something. It was pretty disrespectful. Then I started telling him about the test results I had with me and he got mad. He was like why did you get those, I didn't order those. I'll have to do them all again myself. He wouldn't look at them. I can see wanting to do your own tests but the fact he wouldn't look was weird. He basically told me to leave at that point and schedule the tests with him.

I tell his nurse, I want the test asap. I tell her I'm going out of town for about 10 days on a work trip and would not be available on certain days. She types for a second and then gives me a date right in the middle of the 10 days. I was dumbfounded. I told her again I was out of town at that time. She then said something like, well that's all we have until for another two months.

I never went back. I called my family doctor he sent me to somebody else. Much better experience and turned out not much was wrong at all.

When I got my eyelid cut by a knife back in high school, they had to give me a shot near the corner of my eye to stitch it up. It was a sharp stinging sensation but overall it wasn't too bad. The blood in my eye stung more than the shot though.

When I got hit with a golf club, it was on orbital bone. The club barely missed squaring me up on the eye directly. The kid hit me with a full on golf swing. I wasn't standing far enough back and he got me with a backswing.

I had to get 8 or 9 stitches and they had to shoot numbing agents into me basically right beside my eye. It was a horrifying feeling see the needle approach. I was a teenager but the nurse and my mother had to hold me still.

I was five years old and loaded on steroids. I screamed. It is the worst pain I can remember in my life.

I've had to get stitches, teeth removed, broken bones, hit in sensitive spots, fallen from trees, hit with a golf club to the head, but the the blood gas was the worst. Maybe it was because I was a child and it was my first encounter with true pain?

I had all of mine yanked at 18 between high school and starting college.

My parents drove me to oral surgeon. I remember going in and getting gassed. Then nothing until my parents had me leaving the oral surgeon. I was arguing with them saying they hadn't removed my teeth yet. On the drive home, I started yelling at them and accused them of kidnapping me. The rest of the day is like a clip book of memories. I proceeded to sleep like 16 hours straight. It was wild.
