I spent most of my teenage years as a distance and cross country runner. Granted, the tech wasn't like today in 2000, but I can't imagine not being able to hear my surroundings. It was also nice to just be out in nature running with nothing but my thoughts.

I know it is a preference thing, but especially the loss of situational awareness seems weird to me regardless of men or women.

On different console. I played the SNES one a ton renting it.

I never figured it out my first attempts playing the game new. Then I sort of figured it out later. Later me thought it was stupid because I felt like I was playing a card game and not some fantasy adventure game.

Later me knew how junctions worked I just felt the system was extremely boring. Playing cards, making items, drawing without auto controllers doing the work. Felt like the antithesis of fantasy adventures.

I am almost 40 and I am definitely more left than my early 20s. The stock market collapse in 2008 right when I finished undergrad and the decimation of the economy by the time I finished grad school, followed by a few years living with my parents after 8 years of college really changed my views on the world.

I am solidly upper middle class now but that experience 12 years ago permanently changed me.

like what is the objective here? To be sex mindful? What does that have to do with anything? An introspection of peoples feelings? To put a persons personal perspective to light during a possibly confusing moment? There are many other books that delve into this with a much richer and deeper prose tbh

Its like robbing kids of their ability to connect to things like the nature of sex by focusing on this instead of focusing how a scenario of confusion can play out beyond just one setting or event

We read a book called Killing Mr Griffin in 8th grade. A novel about killing a teacher. I went to a small rural school in a conservative area too. This was in the 90s.

I am in the worst health in my life. I had to start on medicine this summer to help with an occasional irregular heartbeat beat. I am also middle aged and it goes with the territory.

Taking innocent content and perverting it into something edgy is really becoming passe and not transgressive.

My father watched this case almost in its entiery back when it happened on Court TV.

I was like 8 and watched a ton of it with him. He taught me a bunch about the court system as the case progressed.

I have good memories of the case. I remember my father thinking they did it though and it was for the money.

Strangely enough I actually already know about (but not the details of) Robert's Rules but forgot that's what they used. My bad.

I am not sure they use RRs verbatim. The house has its own rules and its own parliamentarian. However RRs are a good general guide.

In short though.

Parties are allotted depending on the situation certain amount of time to make a point. Appointed leaders portion out that time and can alott it as they see fit. That leader can assign time to a speaker. That speaker gets recognized and use their assigned time or not use it all and cede their remaining time back to the leader. Going over time can resort in things like being out of order or being removed from the proceeding.

I saw a teacher tackle a kid that in a fight and subsequently the teacher pinned the kid to the ground but never actually violence aimed at a teacher.

Beds go in corners. All the way. You can lean against the wall then without falling out. The partner least likely to leave the bed at night sleeps closest to wall. Also maximizes usable space in the room.
