| Dakimakura 05/14/23 7:34:02 PM #1 | My theory why these dudes all cheat on their way hotter wives with uglier women is that their job is just incredibly boring when you take away the sex, drinking, and other lewd behavior. I was thinking to myself, that without these factors my job seems way more interesting than theirs. I absolutely love Pete. Him being a huge snob brings a very unique dynamic to the show. He is also an incredibly layered character without them having to ever explicitly highlight the layers. They have to do that because he really isn't the main character and all the explicit forcing of layers on to a character goes to Don. All of Don's story arcs seem so damn forced and unnecessary while with Pete his story is pretty perfectly implied with little to no effort. Trudy and Pete together is just great so it so accurately highlights how couples gaslight each other against the rest of the world. Every character is great but I really do not care at all about all the side story stuff. I basically just stopped paying attention to the plot with the kids because it was completely uninteresting. I know it was building to something bigger in the finale but still getting there took way too much time for stuff I was really loving.
