Onimusha 2 (and possibly other games in the series, 2 was the only one I remember having it), had "Issen mode", which only allowed you to damage/kill enemies with super hard to pull off counter attacks which were pretty much instant kills for monsters and bosses. For context, I think in my average playthough I was lucky to pull the move off 3 or 4 times. Beating Issen mode would require you to do it hundreds of times.

Shinobi and Nightshade on the PS2 also had a pretty cool combo system which, if done correctly, one-hit kills most bosses. It requires you to slash and kill enemies, building up power with each kill until after a few your slashes can essentially one-hit kill them. Eventually, you slash the boss and do tons of damage, which in most cases kills them instantly. Really fun when you can pull it off.

East, I am pretty close to the border, although it technically takes me over an hour to get to a "crossing" since I am on Lake Ontario. I can actually see the Toronto skyline from the beach on a clear day.

And rampant greed consumes another corporation.

I really don't understand the end game for these billionaires. Once they hold the entirety of the world's wealth, where do they go from there? What do they do when they can't extract any more money from the working class? Would that just lead to a total financial meltdown that ends civilization as we know it?

Gamers are obsessed with getting a high score in some useless game, billionaires are obsessed with getting a high amount of wealth that they can never reasonably spend in their lifetime.

Ultimately it comes down to our puritan roots where we either abstain from something or overindulge in it to the point of addiction. Most people can't handle a middle ground where we enjoy something, but only a little bit of it. Dieting, Politics, Money, Drugs, etc. Everything is made worse due to this philosophy.

I have fired a variety of guns, all in controlled settings. AK-47, AR-15, .45 revolver, 12 gauge shotgun, but the scariest one was a Glock 19. Thing will also shred your hand if you don't hold it right.

I can also understand why the AR-15 is so popular, super easy gun to use. The AK-47 is just ridiculous and really only viable if you burst fire. Otherwise your shots go all over the place.

This is a case of Reddit not being smart with their licensing.

Want to restrict people making third-party apps? Close off your API from the start. Want to avoid people making money off of third-party apps? Slap a GNU license on your API.

Reddit were just idiots and are trying to fix it now that they are only making $550m a year instead of $600m.

not on at all since it's warmer obvs
I would imagine they will get replaced eventually since the push is to do away with gas entirely, due to the environmental impact. Not sure if it will be soon since I don't know Scotland, but here at least I won't be able to buy a gas heating system after 2035.

Edit: There are also duct-less heat pumps that can replace radiators: https://www.energy.gov/energysaver/ductless-mini-split-heat-pumps

Yep, played one with some former co-workers. We were originally playing during lunch about 2 times a week, then after about 2 years we switched to playing for about 4 hours on a night every other week since we didn't work together anymore. I think we did that for another 2 years. We technically played another quest or two after hitting level 20 to finish out our character's storyline.

So about 4 years total.

Our current game is a level 1-12 I believe, and we are currently at level 10. Been playing for about a year and a half so far. This one is much more goal oriented though so it is going faster.

It was always going to go through.

There is too much money involved, from big companies no less.

When's the last time you heard about a well known big company trying to buy another company and it was actually stopped.

When's the last time you've heard big government trying to stop big companies from becoming too big, or approaching becoming monopolies by buying other big companies?

It's been quite a while.
I'll be honest, when it comes to companies that deal with non-essential industries, I don't care about them being "too big" or "monopolies". It they start doing things that I deem anti-consumer practices, I just won't support them. Is it the end of the world if Microsoft becomes the only video game company and they suck? No. I'll just move on to one of the hundreds of other time-wasting activities I could be doing.

I am much more concerned with stuff you can't live without being owned by one company. Like groceries, utilities, ISPs, etc.

As long as you aren't using it to clean cuts, that will be fine. I have had my bottle for almost 10 years, I just use it exclusively for cleaning cartridges.

The main reason you use alcohol over water is because it evaporates quicker, therefore reducing the chance of corroding the contacts and damaging your system. That is literally it. It doesn't really clean "better" then water. It is just safer to use on cartridges.

I was honestly fine with that because if you have seen the ending to one Zelda game, you have seen them all. They really don't differ by that much. Considering this game was the one to try and change the formula for Zelda, having a brief ending worked out better than seeing the same one for the 1000th time.
