News has emerged this morning that the original voice actor for Crash Bandicoot for PlayStation recently passed away. Brendan James OBrien sadly passed away on 23rd March, 2023, and the news was shared on the official Legacy website and then picked up by fans on social media. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. The next Crash Bandicoot game is Crash Team Rumble, which is due out next month.
Brendan James OBrien was born May 9, 1962 in Hollywood, CA. The son of actors and entertainers, Edmond OBrien and Olga San Juan, he embodied the talent of both yet forged his own path. Brendan attended St. Martin de Tours in Brentwood, CA and went on to Loyola High School in East Los Angeles. He was grateful for his Jesuit education and often said it was harder than his college years at Loyola Marymount. The time at Loyola High School shaped his knowledge of religion (comparative studies), science, arts, nature, theater and music.
One of his proudest moments was coming up with the original voices for the Crash Bandicoot video games during the Naughty Dog years of 1996 to 2004. He encouraged nostalgic Crash fans in their own pursuits and loved signing their memorabilia. Like music, designing character voices for animation, radio and video games came naturally to him.

The Zelda creator has announced it will be hosting a "special livestream" on 11th May leading up to the midnight launch at the Nintendo Store in New York.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios will supposedly release the next Mortal Kombat game on Switch titled Mortal Kombat 1. Thats according to dataminer billbil_kun, who has a track record of leaking
The game will apparently cost $60 on Switch while itll be $10 extra on other consoles. Warner Bros. intends to release a couple of special editions, but it seems they wont be on Switch.

Windows Central reports that Mortal Kombat 1 is targeting a September 2023 launch, though thats not final. The site adds that a MK1 character pass will feature various properties owned by Warner Brothers, including Peacemaker from the DC Universe, and possibly even Homelander from comic book series The Boys, amongst others we have yet to confirm.

A teaser for the next Mortal Kombat game was recently shared, which we have below. It was thought that NetherRealm is currently working on a reboot of the series.

Nintendo pushed hard to get Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch. Warner Bros. had some concerns that it would be too mature, but it sounds like the game ended up being successful there. It would make sense then that Mortal Kombat 1 would end up on Switch as well.
Warner Bros. and NetherRealm should be making the new Mortal Kombat game official soon. Well let you know if its officially confirmed for Switch.

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -Bay District Schools is reporting an explosion that happened during the lighting of a traditional homecoming bonfire at A. Crawford Mosley High School. BDS officials said they are investigating the cause of the fire and they followed their customary safety protocols..

Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford released the statement down below regarding the incident:
Tonight, there was an incident at Mosley High School where the annual homecoming bonfire exploded. This has been a tradition at Mosley started by a previous school resource deputy and was without incident until tonight. The deputy that set up the bonfire has done so at Mosley for the last 7 years. We are not sure yet what caused the explosion, but take responsibility for the incident. Safety precautions were in place, to include the fire department on site and the students positioned at a safe distance behind a fence, that prevented injury or fire but it still should not have happened. We apologize for any distress this has caused and I assure you that we are officially out of the bonfire business. Sheriff Tommy Ford

The developer put a lot of effort into creating the fire system such a shame that none of that effort was put into the game. It is barely playable due to the bugs and technical issues. The first driving section is so broken that there is one part where the game has to be paused so the game can load the next section otherwise the player would fall into a bottomless pit.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (360 version)

Arkane did not handle this port, but this version is broken. Game can and would crash when loading/saving the game so keeping multiple save files is required. Especially since the game is barely stable and scripted events do not always activate, game could/would spawn invisible enemies, and the AI was flat out broken.
