Well Brood War set up a really nice plot, and SC2 kinda shat on it. I was mostly curious to see if it ever redeemed itself even if I did enjoy it.

I loved the story mode, I felt it was really good. But I will admit it has been so long that I no longer remember most of the details when it comes to void of the legacy or heart of the swarm. I mainly remember wings of liberty. But I do remember overall enjoying the story mode.

I LOVED Raynor and Kerrigan vs Mengsk. I thoroughly enjoyed the story mode too aside from the retcon I mentioned.

I hate country music but Garth Brooks is decent. Especially Standing Outside The Fire. Love that song.

I am one of the most nerdy/weeb people you'll ever meet. To the point where some things I do could be lumped in with the stereotypical basement dwelling nerds (listening to the same video game or anime song on repeat all day for days, singing Japanese songs to myself even though I don't know what they're saying, etc).

I never even tried Legacy of the Void's story mode. I know Zeratul dies early on but that's about it.

I did not like all the retcons in SC2, left a poor taste in my mouth. Kerrigan becoming good again is whatever and I think we all knew it was going to happen anyway, but the Overmind retcon/the entire concept of Amon is just so stupid. I have no idea if LotV manages to wrap things up nicely or terribly.

I saw a handheld Tiger game at Gamestop about a week ago. They STILL make these things in 2023??? I have no clue how they're still in business. Those things were cool for novelty, but in the words of AVGN, "Really, they were garbage." It is neat that this little fragment of people's childhood is still being produced though with basically no revisions or changes.

Been wanting to play this since it came out and now that I got my laptop back, I finally am. Currently on the first world after the shipyard and I'm trying to figure out where in the hell save point #5 is.

They said this was a Metroid style game and they weren't kidding. I am a huge fan of both SW and Metroid, so this is like a love letter to child me. So far I am loving the game. And even the combat is nice. What kind of upgrades are in this game? Is it the same general thing as Metroid?

As for everything else, the game is gorgeous, no doubt about that. Though I think it is ridiculous that the intro takes what feels like a full minute before you get to the title screen, and it isn't skippable; I ended up installing a mod that removes most of it. Cal seems like an alright character so far but he's no Kyle Katarn.

And no the professor didn't give me a specific language to work with.

I'm not sure where to start with this, like I'm not even sure how to start the flow of this program. My teacher isn't asking me to do this for any specific programming language which makes it even more confusing. I think my head's gonna explode for thinking about this too much.

Interesting. I wonder if that was my Reddit post lol. But this is how I made my DualSense work for Fallen Order. When you did it though, was the Switch Pro Controller enabled in the Steam settings under controller?

Another way to do this without downloading extra software is if it's a non-Steam game, add the game to the Steam library. The Steam Overlay will emulator a controller that should work. In Jedi: Fallen Order's case though, instead of adding the game to Steam, you'd have to add the EA launcher to Steam and launch the launcher through Steam.

I saw that on Reddit too, but it didn't work either. That software did though.

I'm trying to play Fallen Order on my laptop and all I have available right now is my Switch Pro controller, but the game won't recognize it. Xpadder was a great workaround to this until they started putting it behind a paywall.

Tell that to the average stoner. They'll swear up and down it's not addictive even though they're high basically every day.

There's already PLENTY of documented evidence on the effects weed can have on long term users. I am currently struggling with addiction of it, and even though it may be easier to get off of than most other things...it's still psychologically addictive. It can also wreck your mental health if you're a chronic user. Also, it is still not completely known what kind of effects it can have on your heart/its functions/etc.

It may not directly cause deaths or anything like that, but it's totally ignorant to assume there's no drawbacks at all. There absolutely is.

I could be here all night really. This is just for JRPGs, and there are several I didn't list yet.

The one and only time I did was when I got so pissed off at Persona 4 Arena's score attack mode; I was going for all navigators (to do that, you have to finish the mode with all 13 characters; it's a survival mode where you have to fight every character extremely beefed up, to boss character levels). I did eventually succeed, but not without A LOT of anger and frustration along the way. I ended up throwing my TV remote on my floor and it broke >_>

It considers too many things unsafe. There doesn't even seem to be a pattern to it; I've had it reject several innocent prompts. Anything better thats also free?

Been awhile. Lost my original discs and refuse to buy anything by ActBlizz if I can help it. Still, if I did find them, playing through the campaign would be fun again.

It doesn't use discs nowadays and is 100% free. The only things that cost money are the reskins (remastered and the cartoon skin). SC is probably one of the best F2P games you'll ever find, since nothing gameplay related is locked behind a paywall.

Getting back into it. I have sunk literally thousands of hours into this game, been playing since 99 or 2000. I play on West though since East is dead now, and I almost exclusively play fastest maps. For regular maps I prefer SC2.

I find this surprising. I think it is a much better designed game than the original with the stakes being higher too. Nostalgia for the original has blinded a lot of people to its flaws.

I think a bigger reason it didn't do well is because it was poorly advertised; a lot of people thought it was another port or remake.

I watched a bit and I don't like the way they talk. One of them used the word cringe. That told me the game was probably for Twitch users.

TWEWY has always had a "hip and cool" cultural feel to it. I think it fits just fine.

That game was a mindblowing improvement over the original. I appreciate what the original game did and the effect it had at the time it was released but I feel like it hasn't aged very well. I replayed it on Switch before NEO came out and one issue I have is that Neku develops so quickly it feels unnatural and forced (by the end of week 1 he's already softened up *a lot*, just because he hung out with Shiki for a week). The dialogue feels fairly stiff at points too, and the game is annoying to play no matter which version you're playing.

NEO fixed almost all of the original game's problems and has an even better soundtrack (Unpainted >>>> almost every other boss song in the series). In my opinion the gameplay is better and more refined too, and the story is absolutely way better. TWEWY may have been impressive in 2005 but nowadays it's a bit difficult to go back to (easier if you own the DS version though). NEO's biggest problem is how much the story changed during development, to the point where playing the extra chapter in the original is completely retconned.

I just don't see the appeal in BotW. I'll admit its world is more dark and less gimmicky feeling, but I got bored of it pretty quickly compared to TotK. Vehicles are also fun as hell to use and TotK is a step in the right direction with both dungeons and enemy variety. Also, BotW's final battle has nothing on TotK's.

Here I am STILL wanting to play the game two or three months after spending 120+ hours on it. BOTW just didn't do it for me, but god damn, TotK was something special.
